If Floyd stays and stays healthy, he will win the Heisman, go #1 in the '12 NFL draft and I think we will have an excellent chance for the NC.
Of course, I predicted that we would be 13-0 this year.

In regards to needing tall WR, do the patriots have tall recievers making plays, besides TE's?

If Floyd Leaves...

If Floyd Leaves...

I cry inconsolably as an infant; and then I cast aside my emotion and mourning, and look forward to the young up-and-comers that will become our next lineage to the promise land...

It really showed on all those great punt returns he had, oh wait I mean fair catches.......

ok a little negative, but come on how can we not have a dymanic return man.

Wtf do you want him to do....? Not call a fair catch...and get tagged and fumble? Read the quesion...it was a height question...

He did a great job...

I know it was a height question, but he did not do a great job returning punts. He didn't always call for a fair catch. He was awful as a return guy. I am just saying I wish we has someone who was more explosive back their, because I don't see Goodman as explosive. He can be a good possesion receiver, but that is all.

Job #1 is not to fumble..if my memory is correct he only had 1 issue all year...

He had very few opportunites to run any kicks back- in fact he did not have the best blocking out there...all great kick returnes have some help.

Sure they will open it up this spring.

I will give you that the blocking might not have always been there, but just as all great returns have some help, they also can create at something out of nothing sometimes.

I will rest my case with Goodman's stats this year straight off the ND website........

PUNT RETURNS No. Yards Avg TD Long
GOODMAN, John 13 17 1.3 0 13

Blocking or no blocking, that is not good. I hope they open it up this spring or find someone in the freshman class this fall that can spark the punt return game.

To truly access the punt return team you have to look at all 11 players...you saying "...blocking or no blocking..." is not looking at the whole picture. Granted the return man has to make a player or two mis...however he got very little help.

agree to disagree.

Goes the clock...

Poem by Lew Duffey

Tick tock, tick tock. Oh if I could only stop that clock.
My body grows old and my mind does stray.
I forget what I am doing from day to day.

Tick tock, tick tock, I believe I will blame it on that old clock.
If only the darn thing would wind down and stop.
If only the hands would simply stay at the top
And rotate no more, not adding more seconds, minutes and hours.
If it would stop my wish would come true . Eternal youth would surely be ours.

What am I saying? What is it I wish for?
That would mean I would see spring no more.
That would mean no more flowers would bloom and grow.
It would mean I would never feel the summer breezes that blow.

Stop the Clock? Stop the time? What am I thinking with such a hope?
I would have wished for something better if I were not such a dope.
I take back my wish to stop the clocks wondrous movement.
I listen to the ticks, savoring each moment because with time comes improvement.

Tick tock. Tick tock. I now listen quietly to the sound of the clocks wondrous sound.
I hear it chime every hour to herald the passing of time where beauty can be found.

Tick tock. Tick tock. Life is a wonderful collection of hours.
Within it can be found a joy that can truly be ours.

My question to you is: Can the joy be ours? Will Floyd return? I think he will... be. IRISH!

Yeah heading back after the break in preparation for classes and/or moving his stuff out of his dorm or apartment.

That tweet in itself could be read many ways, but I don't think he's giving anything away there.
He's literally leaving Minnesota and going to South Bend.

He's meeting with BK today. The pitch: "MVP of the BCS Championship Game looks mighty good to NFL scouts Mike."

Ok, I'm ahead of myself, but I'm pumped about 2011.

It's easy to say this without being in his position, but coming back next year will only help his draft stock. The WR class is stronger than usual for this draft.

If Crist is ready for next season, Floyd could easily position himself as a 1st round pick.
