BKess,
After this is over, you should do a "best classic rock album" poll. Maybe vote for the top 50. Then after the initial round take no more than two albums from any band/artist. No greatest hits albums. If you want to get detailed, you could do best album by decade, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, etc.
Here's a start:
Beatles - The Beatles
Beatles - White Album
Cream - Disarelli Gears
Chicago - Chicago Transit Authority
Fleetwood Mac- Rumors
Eagles - Hotel California
Eagles - Hell Freezes Over
The Who - Who's Next
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV
Led Zeppelin – Physical Graffiti
Foreigner - Foreigner
Boston - Boston
Elton John - Yellow Brick Road
Elton John – Madman Across The Water
Rolling Stones - Aftermath
Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed
Crosby Stills, Nash & Young - Four Way Street
Allman Brothers - Live at The Fillmore
Credence Clearwater Revival - Willy and The Poor Boys
The Guess Who - American Woman
The Doors - Strange Days
The Doors - The Doors
Steely Dan – Aja
Steely Dan – Can’t Buy a Thrill
Santana - Santana
Pink Floyd – The Wall
Pink Floyd – Dark Side of the Moon
ZZ Top – Tres Hombres
ZZ Top – Fandango
AeroSmith – Draw The Line
AeroSmith – Toys in The Attic
AC/DC – Highway to Hell
AC/DC – Back in Black
Beach Boys – Pet Sounds
Beach Boys – Summer Days
Bad Company – Bad Co.
Bad Company – Straight Shooter
Journey – Journey
Journey – Escape
Uriah Heep – Demons and Wizards
Kiss – Destroyer
Guns N Roses – Appetite for Destruction
Metallica – Metallica
Rush – Moving Pictures
America – Horse With No Name
Queen – News of The World
Buffalo Springfield – Last Time Around
The Byrds – Younger Than Yesterday
Neil Young – Harvest

Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band – Stranger in Town
1) You've got, essentially, The White Album listed twice. As a resident Beatles scholar I'd nominate at least 4 other albums before the White Album.
2) Hell Freezes Over is a live album and essentially a quasi greatest hits compilation. Disqualified.
3) Four Way Street basically a live greatest hits album. Disqualified.
4) Live at Fillmore ditto above, I'd keep it to studio albums only if it were me.
Other very easy ones to nominate...
Crosby, Stills, & Nash (CSN)
Deja Vu (CSNY)
Paranoid (Black Sabbath)
Rubber Soul (Beatles)
Revolver (Beatles)
Sgt. Pepper (Beatles)
Abbey Road (Beatles)
Are You Experienced (Jimi Hendrix Experience)
Zeppelin I (Led Zeppelin)
Zeppelin II (Led Zeppelin)
Houses of the Holy (Led Zeppelin)
Ziggy Stardust (David Bowie)
Hunky Dory (David Bowie)
Aladdin Sane (David Bowie)
Tommy (The Who)
Layla (Derek & the Dominoes)
Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd)
A Night at the Opera (Queen)
American Beauty (Grateful Dead)
Village Green Preservation Society (Kinks)
Aqua Lung (Jethro Tull)
Honky Chateau (Elton John)
L.A. Woman (The Doors)
Eliminator (ZZ Top)
Pronounced Leh-nerd Skin-nerd (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Second Helping (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Slowhand (Eric Clapton)
Van Halen I (Van Halen)
1984 (Van Halen)
Band on the Run (Paul McCartney & Wings)
Pyromania (Def Leppard)
Hysteria (Def Leppard)
Sticky Fingers (Rolling Stones)
Exile on Main Street (Rolling Stones)
Beggar's Banquet (Rolling Stones)
Eat a Peach (Allman Brothers)
Brothers & Sisters (Allman Brothers)
I think most of these are in the Rolling Stone Top 500, FWIW.
