Just got back from a 3.6 mile walk -- 1 hour and 2 minutes. Feel like I could have pushed it a little harder, but I was with the wife.

I have to get in all I can from Friday to Sunday. My work days Monday to Thursday are just too long to get anything in. We'll see how I do tomorrow -- maybe by myself so I can push my limit.

I'm not looking to lose weight, but just get back into shape. Ever since going to college I've really haven't worked out for extended periods of time (random run here, little elliptical there). I just did my first work out today because I really want to get back into shape before I leave for New Zealand for the next five months starting the first of February.

I started out on the bike to get everything warm
Then used the bowflex working chest, arms, and abs
Then ran on the treadmill, walked a hard incline, then ran flat, then cool down flat.

Plan on running/walking everyday and lifting every other day.

Good workout! I started sweating while I was reading it.

45 minutes of weight training this morning, then oatmeal with fresh blueberries.

How's everyone doing?

Alright, I am joining the group fellas....

1/9/12--245lbs---12 lbs more than when I was playing in college--RIDICULOUS!!!

I am going to be a first time dad in June, goal weight for baby's arrival--215.

What pisses me off about the fact that I have become a chubby piggy is that I was a college athlete, and now a doctor that talks to people everyday about living healthy...no excuses, I have been a loser since October.

There is a lot of great info. in this thread, and everybody is a bit different, just my two cents---Fat doesn't make you fat, sugar does....and you don't have to do an hour of cardio everyday to lose weight...Switch it up, weights, long-slow cardio (walking, etc, general movement instead of t.v. time---not chronic cardio), sprints (on eliptical etc. is ok)...Also, check out Marksdailyapple.com for some great info. Mark Sisson is a smart dude!

Good Luck fellas, and great work to all those already rockin!

Keep up the good work guys!

The gym where I work out has been packed the last week and a half (always is this time of year). Don't be one of the people that stop showing up February (same goes for those of you working out at home).

For good luck whoever reads this post (and is physically able) must drop and do 10 push ups and 10 crunches.

You get extra good luck points if your at work or in a public place where people might think your crazy.

Nice! Congrats on the weight loss so far! I'm only down about 5.5 lbs since starting but I've been doing a lot of weight training.

Hows everyone else thats signed up doing? I'm getting worried because nobody is posting updates.

I really just started on Saturday. We were on shutdown the last week of the year and it took me a week to get readjusted.

But since Saturday I have lost 5.7 pounds down from 214.3 to 208.6.

Treadmill for about a half hour each day going a little over 2 miles.

Cut out beer and most of of my soda consumption.

For breakfast I eat lowfat crackers. Lunch I have a salad. Dinner I have a salad and half a chicken breast.

So far, so good!

I have cut out beer and I am on red wine. I haven't weighed myself in over a week but I try to stand much more than I sit down, get on the treadmill when I can, and chase my boy around the house while we play.

I have been really busy thus far, but my eating has been pretty good....Gotta pick up the exercise.
Yesterday I had a cup of coffee, and a protein shake for breakfast, a handful of raw mixed nuts around 11, a salad w/ chicken, bacon, avocado, tomatoes, egg, and b.c. crumbles for lunch. So I was really good, until last night, where I may or may not of had Popeyes. Back to the good side this morning w/ a small bowl of berries/pineapple/kiwi.

Way to go everybody! I'm very impressed with all your hard work and dedication! Keep it up cause the pay off is huge.
I'm not trying to lose wait but I am training for a Marathon that I'm running on March 10th. So I'm running a lot these days and its pretty tuff cause I work full time and ...I have these long *** runs and then have to go be on my feet for the next 7 hours.
Whats really motivating is I got Nike+ with my iPod and it tracts your miles, time, distance..ect and it really helps you improve so maybe would help some of you
cheers!

Went 3 miles on the treadmill tonight in about 35 minutes.

Alternating between jogging and walking.

I'm doing pretty well. Started at 235.6, this morning was 220.8. However, I stumbled tonight and had some Chinese food. Disappointed in myself...

Can this be retro active? I mean last year at this time I was 245 and thought I was cool because I was big and "intimidating". Until I looked at pictures of myself but now I weigh 200. So, so far I have lost 45lbs in a year :) . Pretty good if I may say, but I am still trying to get down to at least 185.

I ran 16 miles on Sunday in 1:50. Felt wonderful, my knee is starting to really hurt but I hope it'll be okay.
@Beau Can't see why you couldn't join! Just hop on in! The more the merrier :)

The wife and I are down 10lbs each since Jan. 2nd. Really like the accountability and encouragement the "My Fitness Pal" app provides. It is available on both Apple and Android markets (free on both)

OK boys, more kickboxing....going well. Remember eating clean is essential...if you cheat keep it in moderation.

Remember...one brick at a time.
