I agree that no one knows what will happen exactly. That's sports and that's why we love them. My point was that If Kelly doesn't open up the job (which he will say that its an open competition, whether that really means its open is up to BK) I have a hard time believing that someone with a year under their belt and being in the situations that Golson has been and played well, you as a coach, jump ship on the first four star recruit at the QB position you have brought on. I don't buy that. If Golson gets hurt yeah he may have a shot, there is no denying that. If Golson really struggles and stuggles badly, yeah he may have a shot. Kids want to play and thats the bottom line. Yes, his uncle blair is alum and there is a story there, but that doesn't mean anything. No, I don't know what Gunner is thinking however I we are seeing a situation unfold in front of our eyes that no one knows the answer to. He may transfer he may not. I still feel as if a recruit like that doesn't come to a place to sit for four years and maybe start one (that would be including his redshirt year).
It is easy for me make generalizations about what 18 year old kids think. My family has been in high school coaching for over three generations. I know Gunners High School Coach personally and have talked with him a couple of times about his talent. My grandfather coached at Mishawaka High school for 34 years. My Father Down the road at Rochester high school for 32 years. My brother is currently a head coach in the state of Florida which kicks out more top prospects than any other state in the nation. But your right I have no idea about 18 year old kids and their decisions...
