A school with a French name, founded by French priests, and now an Irish identity. And lucky for us. Just can't imagine The Fighting French.

Guys, there's meaning behind this, and for BGIF especially, today was a GREAT day to be Irish.

Cheers my friend!

Now I'm really intrigued.

I can agree though that everyday we wake up is a day we should be grateful for.

BGIF....

May I be so bold as to ask what the special meaning of this is?

I was born in Dublin, Ireland and grew up in NY. But my family and I would travel to Ireland every year for vacation. My father and I would always go to a Gaelic Football match. Of course we were Dub fans.. Up the Dubs!!!

Well lately it has been great to be Irish because the Dubs finally won the All-Ireland! Her's a picture of one of the greatest Gaelic Footballers of all-time, Barney Rock.

BGIF, I'm sure your reasons are different but I'm glad your happy to be Irish and/or an Irish fan.

VICTORY 1781 Battle of Yorktown - 1781
French forces, allied with the Americans, are victorious over Cornwallis and his English army.

VICTORY 1781 Battle of the Chesapeake - September 5, 1781
France, coming to the aid of America's George Washington, defeats the British in a strategic victory.

I know you're joking, but I thought I'd throw this in here. (some folks honestly forget)

Oh yeah, Go Irish!

^^^ I broke my own rule here. I decided after the Michigan State Fake FG loss last year not to post on here intoxicated. Well last night after the Tiger game and 5 24oz brewskis I did. LOL... Smart Phones make it too easy!
