Yeah a lot of these projections incorporate the projected outcomes of future games. Otherwise you'd just slot in the 12 teams that would make it if the season ended today.I’m trying to make sense of their percentages to make playoffs. Like I saw that LSU has a low chance to make the playoffs even though they are ranked 8 rn. I guess they are prognosticating more losses in the future. I’d expect if LSU makes the playoffs they would be salivating at a ND at LSU matchup just for drama sake.
With one loss already, LSU still has A&M, Bama, Florida, Vandy and Oklahoma, then a potential SEC title game. Odds of them finishing with two losses is high and three losses is probably more likely than not. Whereas we'll be heavily favored in every game we have left. So our odds of making it are far higher, even though we're ranked behind them now.
