I’m trying to make sense of their percentages to make playoffs. Like I saw that LSU has a low chance to make the playoffs even though they are ranked 8 rn. I guess they are prognosticating more losses in the future. I’d expect if LSU makes the playoffs they would be salivating at a ND at LSU matchup just for drama sake.
Yeah a lot of these projections incorporate the projected outcomes of future games. Otherwise you'd just slot in the 12 teams that would make it if the season ended today.
With one loss already, LSU still has A&M, Bama, Florida, Vandy and Oklahoma, then a potential SEC title game. Odds of them finishing with two losses is high and three losses is probably more likely than not. Whereas we'll be heavily favored in every game we have left. So our odds of making it are far higher, even though we're ranked behind them now.

Makes me question with theses tough schedules will we see a three loss SEC team get heavier consideration over a 1 loss team with a weaker schedule. Seems the margin of error for ND is still very very low.

This was not a very good game on offense at all. Knapp seems to be going backwards.
I think it’s pretty clear that Knapp isn’t a LT at this level.

He was in the running for the backup center when he got here. But they’ve recruited tackles so poorly that he was the best option when Jagusah - who also isn’t a LT - went down.

I think we just had to hold on and hope for the best this season when that injury happened.

You could see Georgia or Bama make it in with three losses. I doubt LSU or Tennessee or A&M would. I really doubt any of them would slot in ahead of a one-loss Notre Dame. But they could sure make it in over a two-loss Notre Dame.

Overall, I agree about the offense. I’m just saying RL is doing much better with the short quick passes. We couldn’t count on those earlier in the year.

The NIU loss still befuddles me.. How on even our worst day did we lose to this team?

It could absolutely screw us even if we win out..

The committee in the past cares more about who you beat then who you lose to.

IF ND runs the table it’s very highly likely they got in. The committee won’t judge the NIU too hard.

Because they're cheap...and hate college
The cheap people get married on weekdays. My daughter is getting married and started talking about September/October and I mad to obviously nix that and then she said April and I said that’s blue gold game time so we settled in May. Maybe the most expensive month in San Clemente. I love the BG game as I don’t stress out worrying about who will win. Just want no injuries.

Sure. I guess I see it more reasonably could be multiple 2 loss teams from BIG or SEC over a 1 loss ND as at large. Anyway. Margin for error remains very small for ND.

I told my wife we could either get married in June or July. No exceptions.

Could always do a nice Wednesday wedding?
Sure, but I didn’t want an anniversary popping up on a Saturday down the line, or during the B&G game. When college football is going on, I’m not as present as I am in the off season. So I knew it would be better this way. At least till I’m more mature (I’m 31).

This may or may not come as a surprise to you, but you're not alone.

To the point that every other thread somehow circles back to mentioning that day.

I can summarize that particular encounter rather quickly:

It seemed like a mixed bag for the o line. They seemed to protect Riley well from what I can remember.

I feel like they're doing about as well as they can given 1) injuries 2) youth.

A small true frosh starting LT is an absurd situation to be in.

I was really thinking we had a D1 two deep on OL that would have us in reload mode and they would be noticeably improved as the season went on. The reality is probably that Leonard was targeted knowing we needed a run threat QB given OL question marks. When is the last time the OL was limiting our offense to this degree? So frustrating as the writing is clear as day that we will be stymied by a top 20 defense which does not bode well for CFP.

Are we doing something with Love that telegraphs his runs? He just seems to have the worst draws of the game when it comes to RB reps. I agree that he is an elite back but just baffled on why they don't seem to block or scheme for him as well as others?
