Shark is my all time favorite, but Floyd was just different. He was doing grown shit out there.

Yeah I don't know if it's the DUIs or the lack of NFL success but people are forgetting how insanely dominant Floyd was at ND. He was basically our whole offense in 2010. In Notre Dame history he's 1st all time in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. He also blocked like a demon.

To put it in perspective, he had roughly 100 more receptions, 1000 more yards, and 10 more TDs than the Shark.

Not diminishing his talent, but just pointing out he was given the greatest opportunity given the fact he had Quinn and Clausen as his QBs. He couldn’t have been set up better.
Floyd never played with Quinn

? His junior and senior years he was playing with Tommy Rees as his QB. If anything, crown the man. He set a single season record for receptions while being doubleteamed and thrown to by Rees.

He would either run past you or through you. Dude was just physically different. His catch radius was absurd.

You buy him a few 30 packs of stones when he was a minor?
We had a mutual friend. He tagged along with my friend and met up with a group of us one night. We were all taking care of our own drinks or so I thought. Long story short, he dipped out without paying. Only found out cause the bartender told me that “the guy we were with” told him that I was covering his tab.

This sounds about right. My cousin had similar stories about him.

Thank you for being one of the original contributors to ND's NIL fund.

Hey now! Don't be disrespectin' the Reesus, he didn't just key on Floyd like Pyne did with Mayer. That man is 4th all time in passing yards, and has more TDs than Clausen, Powlus, Theismann, or Montana.

In 2011 he hit Floyd for 1,100, Eifert for 800, and Theo for 440. Oddly enough the only other QB to match those receiver totals was Rees again in 2013 with TJ Jones, Davaris Daniels, and Troy Niklas. Next closest would have been Coan with Austin, Mayer, and AD, but Austin didn't break the 1000 yard mark.

Only time I ever rooted against a ND player. Was hoping he got injured. Not a bad injury, but like maybe jammed a couple fingers on a catch. Not career altering, but super annoying.

Real talk though, that sounds like the bar's problem.

Floyd played WR like Leonard plays QB. Just bigger, stronger than everyone. And can half-ass stiff arm the entire defense when he feels like it. Looks like the 8th grader playing with 6th graders.
