Was watching this. I didn’t know Saban was a ND ally either. Towards the start they asked Saban if he liked ND (as a whole) and he blushed, stopped himself, and said “Yeah….I like Notre Dame”.

Nick Saban is a pretty well known Catholic.

Know the Nolan Ziegler thread was closed but seems like he never made the CMU roster.
Checked him out on Instagram quickly and curiously seen he reposted an ND photo and then videos of him working out with a trainer.
Obviously FWIW, but maybe never too late for a comeback?

yeah hes not even a student there, seems to be at home in Grand Rapids around his old HS team

I wish him nothing but the best and I hope he prioritizes his health always. If he gets a chance to play at another program, I'll cheer for him.

I would 100% never expect him to play for ND.

I personally like it. If I were a teammate, I would admire guys who are willing to put themselves up there to be judged. And if I was a player that wasn't selected, since I put myself up there, I would work even harder to show that I am a Notre Dame Man to my peers.

Not at all. You need leaders on a team, vocal leaders like Manti that bring the team together and make people better. That was one thing the staff tried to impart onto Jaylon while he was here. He was such a tremendous athlete, but he wasn't the vocal charismatic leader they wanted him to be.

Coaches poll keeping ND at 7 and dropping Oregon to 6 ahead of ND seems laughable. I realize it doesn't matter at all, but two teams who both won on the road by the same margin of victory, in a top 20 matchup versus a top 5 team barely beating Idaho? Where is the logic

You don't know how hard it is to play in front of an Oregon crowd, especially if you're Oregon.

Oregon plays a really stout schedule with road trips to Michigan and Wisconsin and home games vs Ohio St and Boise St this week. They should drop below us eventually.
They better because if the playoffs were held with today’s rankings we’d be 9th and play at Oregon, with the winner playing Georgia.
I don’t want anything to do with that set up.
