I agree with you, but on the other hand, I can see how having the entire team spend an hour in mass hours before a game could be detrimental to the on the field product. That time could be spent on more pre-game scheming, hype, etc. I am Catholic, but even I think an hour in mass isn't the best way to physically prepare for a game. Mentally is different, as that depends on the person and their level / type of faith.

I think type of faith is important. I could see Mass really getting some people ready to play (Manti would probably dig it considering his whole "holy warrior" persona he takes on the field). But I think it would hurt my overall "mental violence" that I need to play a sport like football.

I think it's probably a good thing for the overall team that we got rid of the pre-game mass. I think it's good that they still do it the night before though, since spirituality is traditionally such a big part of ND's football team.

I agree with all of this. Nice post.

Pretty strong episode of Strong and True today. ND does some great work with those.

Anyone know where the thread is that had links to Diaco's sailor hat? Want to buy one. I think I remember someone posting a link from Fans Edge.

Was that a burn on Sociology majors? I take offense to that!

I loved the few sociology classes I took, but I believe it is hard to get a job in the sociology field. Not as bad as philosophy though.

I don't know why but I'm not surprised about Ishaq.

Yeah at first I was like "oh wow I didn't suspect that" but then I thought. Philsophers think about things. Ishaq playing football thinks about things...usually to much. Totally makes sense now.

Maybe he wants to be a priest or preacher, depending on the religion of course.

PreMed: Andrew Hendrix (minor in anthropology, since apparently he wasn't working hard enough already)

That's great.
It also probably explains his lack of productivity on the field. Can't be watching film as much as coach would like i'm sure.

If someone is transferring, it would be dumb for Damefan to wait until Thursday to reveal it. Someone else will get the story out first. So I suspect it's not that serious.

Crowded backfield?

How is an Empty Backfield "crowded?

Isn't three a crowd?

How about ...

"RBs resent Receivers."

"RBs want no checks."

"Fullhouse or No house."

"Call and HAUL! Damn it!"
