After three games this season the following have been fired:

Jack Swarbrick
Marcus Freeman
Tommy Rees
Al Washington
Jumbotron guy
Music guy
Head of the concessions
Field turf guy

Who's next?
South Bend PD & Highway Patrol. Takes too damn long to get home after a game!

What's the 3rd down song?
Still crazy train??
No, they do mix it up on third downs now, thankfully.

I think he was referring to the music that was repeated after every stop or missed FG. It's this, starting at 0:27 - 0:41. It was quite repetitive so I'll give him that

Usually it's this song that starts with what sounds like a baby saying "I tried to warn you" or some shit like that, and then some annoying sounds.

It's fine every once in a while. I'm just asking for a rotation of 3rd down music is all.

This is my fault.
I used to pray for any other song for 3rd down.
The ND trolls won again.

Third down song is live the night by Hardwell and W&W. Great for a night club in 2015, not for a stadium trying to be an intimidating atmosphere.

That and Vengabus for a third down stop are the new Crazy Train. To the point I think they're trolling us into wanting it to be strictly the band again.

If I'm not mistaken, they did mix up the third down music quite a bit on Saturday. But they play that annoying song that I just posted when we get a third down stop every time.

I am a little confused about you guys complaining about the third down music being the same for every third down. Most stadiums/teams have a third down song. It's typically something that has been played for years and is a notice to the home fan base that it is time to get loud. Maybe ND is just behind in getting the right music dialed in to be THE third down song.

the music for third down is fine. the weird creepy child voice segment before the music comes on is the part that has to go.

Guys...can't we all agree it should just be Crazy Train and only Crazy Train and leave it at that?

I liked when the band just made as much noise as possible before a third down. Can we go back to that?
Honestly, I'd prefer a long, drawn out fart noise. I'll hold up a microphone up to ACamp's old lady and record her next time.

Idk, I've been going to ND games for 20 years now and I don't think the crowd has ever been more loud than when we had the jumbotron. If it helps us win games, I'm all for it, and I think you can argue that it clearly helps get the crowd more amped.

Whoever oversees the concession stands should be fired. Got in line before halftime and didn’t get back to our seats until 5 minutes into the third quarter. We were the 13th person in line and it took 25+ min…

Good to know for when I come in November.

There was a video they played at the 2018 Michigan game that was legendary, the entire stadium went crazy after that.

Edit: If anyone has that video I would love to see it.

USC '05 still tops anything for me post Jumbotron I think, but I have absolutely noticed an increase in crowd noise overall since it's been installed. If the Jumbotron pushes some stuffy blue hairs out that don't want to cheer, I'm all for it. There's this little old lady that for years would sit in the first row of the gold seats and she would jump up and down and yell every game. She was all in, it was great. That's gonna be me when I'm older...the little old lady.

The team that showed up yesterday probably is a top 10-15 squad, which more or less what I expected before the season.

Love that the advanced stats aren’t sniffing USC’s farts like the media.

It’s hard to tell by beating UNC that way. But we did what we were supposed to do against them. Confidence can be a game breaker so let’s see if this worked.

Look at Cal’s running back he had like 275 rushing yards. They played Arizona so against a better d line we slowed him down.

The bye week time for people to get some rest, some nagging injuries healed up and 2 weeks to game plan will tell us even more about who this team is.

The ESPN.com Insider has updated Bill Connelly's SP+ Rankings.

Statheads be factheads

#13 Clemson 17.2
#25 USC 14.1
#26 Notre Dame 13.9
#34 BYU 11
#59 Syracuse 3.7
#80 Stanford -1.1
#91 UNLV -6
#93 BC -7.5
#114 Navy -13
I think its also important to say Marshall, Cal, and UNC were 66, 63, 67, respectively. To me, that shows a couple things.

Marshall was likely better than people gave them credit for (though their ranking is likely buoyed by ours) and UNC was worse than people gave them credit for.

It also tells me that we have improved week over week in that span.

Finally, if we can continue to play at the level of yesterday, there are only 3 games left that we shouldn't go in expecting to win.

There is still a chance that with a bowl game, this could be a 10 win team.

On the other hand I sat behind a little old lady at the 2017 Georgia game who sat down and read on her Kindle the entire game. She did look up from it once during a 3rd down in the 4th quarter when everyone was on their feet. I guess it beat having a barking Georgia fan sitting there.

After yesterday I'll go into every game thinking that we can win. I'm sure that's setting me up for some massive levels of disappointment

I would take that over my Georgia game. I'm pretty sure I outlined it here back in the day, but I had THE most annoying Dawg fan behind me all game. It was some Sorority chick that was blitzed and loud as FUCK all game. Everytime they were on offense:
"CHUBBY CHUBB CHUUUUUBB! CHUBBY CHUBB CHUUUUUBB!"
That was in my ear all game. Didn't matter if Sony Michel was the one actually in the game, she just assumed it was always Nick Chubb out there and was screaming for him regardless.
To go with that she swore up and down every play we were cheating, she was cussing out our players, cussing out the refs, she was intolerable. I'm all for cheering on your team in a hostile environment and supporting your guys, but man...she was a piece of work.

There's a clear path to 8-9 wins here alone, as long as they don't lay an egg for four quarters like they did against Marshall. 5 games we should be clear favorites in, though the Carrier Dome is a tough place to play, with two "toss-ups" between BYU and USC. Still think the way Clemson's offense looks, we have a real shot to win that one as well. Not likely this ND team wins out, but I like their odds to finish with 8 or 9 wins, and we're going to feel much better about this team than we did two weeks ago.
