No one else has been found. They did use side scan Sonar and were able to locate the vehicles that fell off the bridge.

I do know a few others have already answered your question. However, yes, the port of Baltimore does have their own pilot. They go meet the incoming ships prior to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and they are in charge until they arrive at the dock. Then it’s the same going out, the pilot vessel until they get outside of the Chesapeake Bay bridge and then they turn it back over to the original pilot or captain.

I heard that someone ordered the port anchor dropped but the laws of inertia mean that did very little. There is some chatter that dropping the anchor may have been wrong call because their initial velocity would have taken them past the first pier.

I have not seen a timestamp chart of the Dali position to be able to determine if that is correct. It may be that the MV velocity would have taken it into the next pier.

I thought they said they dropped the port side anchors? I'm no sailor, but it looks like the ship turns to the right at the end after the anchors are dropped, which would make me think they dropped the starboard anchors. Either way, it looks like it probably would have avoided the collision had they not dropped at all.
