Thought we could have a thread for discussion and news related to former ND players now playing for other programs instead of always bumping their recruiting threads.

"Gamer" Brandon Newman is the #2 DT for Ball State going into this weekend.

Deion and Hafis will both play but aren't starting for UMass this weekend. Deion had been in a tight battle for the starting #2 WR spot.

Mike Ragone and Dayne are both starting for KU (obviously). Anthony McDonald is still not 100% (story of his career unfortunately) and will not play.

You also have two ND transfers starting UCLA, their tight end, Big Joe Fauria, and their wide out Shaq Evans. There is also that offensive lineman at Tennessee. I forget his name but he ended up leaving ND because someone in his family became ill. To be honest, I'm pulling for all of them, especially Dayne! But you got almost six or seven ND transfers starting for BSC programs this fall. Interestingly all of them are on the offensive side of the ball.

Shaq Evans looked pretty good for UCLA last night. Four receptions for 42 yards plus one rush.

He also did some pretty good downfield blocking on two of the long runs UCLA had in the first half.

Charley Molnar and the Minutemen got spanked by UConn in their FBS debut last night 37-0. 3 First downs, 59 yds of offense and maybe worst of all 3 yds rushing on 24 attempts.

Ouch.

"Gamer" Brandon Newman has 1 asst in Ball State's win over Eastern Michigan

sounds about like a NCAA13 dynasty I'm in. We had to start with one star programs so I took UMASS. That was pretty much my weekly offensive output, EXCEPT for week 3 when I beat Mighigan at Michigan. I got fired after 1 season and am now 3-1 as DC at Air Force.

How do you guys find this stuff?

What about the corner that went to USF? Didn't he have a little boy? Is he still playing?

From BGI:
Deion Walker caught a team high 59 passes for 667 yards (11.3 average) and 3 TDs.

Another former Irish player, DLHafis Williams, also played for Molnar this year as a fifth-year senior, started seven games and was fifth in tackles with 50, five for lost yardage.

Former NG Brandon Newman played for 9-3 Ball State this year and was 14th in tackles with 29, five for loss, (2.5 sacks) and an interception.

At Kansas, Dayne Crist had a rough season for the 1-10 Jayhawks who close at West Virginia this Saturday. He has played in nine of the 11 games, losing the starting job eventually to Michael Cummings, and was 102 of 211 (48.3 percent) for 1,272 yards, four TDs and eight interceptions, and his 27 carries netted minus-66 yards.

Also for Kansas, tight end Mike Ragone caught 2 passes for 11 yards and a score, while LB Anthony McDonald played in seven games and has 27 tackles

Shaq Evans has 51 receptions for 771 yds and 2 TDs

Joe Fauria has 39 receptions for 554 yds and 11 TDs

Out of all those guys, woulda loved to have Shaq. Didn't he say something after the fact about wishing he had stayed? Dynamic player.

Also good to see Deion Walker get some production out of his career. Happy for him.
