I knew this was never going to be easy. Wonder how many Iranian factions there are?

Can’t wait to hear the “Trump is compromised by Israel” retards on this board spin this one

This does not prove that Trump is not compromised by Israel... And no one said that Trump does every little thing Israel wants.

IMO, what's more true is that Trump and Netanyahu are in cahoots with one another and that Israel has infiltrated the US Congress and government for decades now at least. And although no one can prove it, Israel and Netanyahu do seem to have something over Trump and a lot of folks in our government.

Right now I would say it's a relationship of allies like Hitler and Mussolini in WWII, each doing their own thing but sharing similar visions of the world (although here, Israel is a damn cult that has lost its mind); and each country at times will do their own thing.

E.g., Israel is taking advantage of a distracted Iran and ME to work on its Greater Israel plan which right now is focused on clearing out Southern Lebanon as its latest land acquisition; and Trump continues to be Trump and blurts out "ultimatums" that no one listens to and IMO wants to prolong the conflict and pain and continue to have it affect China, Europe and other countries, and be something that potentially can be leveraged domestically for various plans this admin has.

... since he is living on the border of reality and show business fiction, he might try that (or at least think it a good idea.)

Why? It's not an "Honor"; it's a chance for Duty to others. And conversations which might open relief efforts.

Hell, even with the worst actors, sometimes meetings and talks have allowed the Catholic Church to get into hard places and bring relief and medicine and food growing, water cleaning etc. Do we have people here on IE who insist on punishing all humans in a society because they happen to be born inside certain borders? ... what-in-the-hell is wrong with you people?

Being at a table for discussion is one thing. Being chosen as a government body to help shape global policy is completely different. Your geography is destiny is such a strawman argument. They aren’t asking random Iranians for global policy, they are asking the Iranian government which still executes people for sport for global policy on human rights. Such a weird rebuttal.

I suppose that I shoudn't be surprised that you have no idea of how that particular committee operates. (you can begin to study at their website, if interested.) Russia and China and Cuba and several such others are already on the 30+ member committee. Iran has been on there before, it's advisory on topics and procedures and talking suggestions and many talking-about things. The membership is somewhat defined geographically. But blaze your simple-minded prejudice-blinded way. It seems to "work" for you. I really wish that I'd have continued my "ignore" (which I'll now re-do) but I had hope that something had changed. No luck. ... oh, I'm on ignore in 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... so you can blaze freely away.

And that advisory carries a lot of weight. They set agendas, interpret legislative intent, prioritize programs, and influence what gets funded or emphasized. Platforming Iran, China, Cuba, Russia on rights related bodies fuels some skepticism or cynicism that “multilateralism” sometimes means lowest common denominator compromise rather than consistent principles. Ignore me, run away and stay away from counter opinions. You look silly with you’re holier than thou insults and then running away with your ignore button, how sad for you.
