I agree, but also not ideal
It is sort of funny that Eagle Claw and the shortcomings of the C-130 was the impetus for the development of the CV-22, and then we get the opportunity for the CV-22 to come in handy and we didn't use it. I 100% get why the C-130 and Little Birds were used instead, but I think it's kind of funny nonetheless. And while not ideal, we have literal hundreds of C-130s in the inventory and the per unit cost of an A/MH-6 is like $15 Million. It's not like we lost 5 F-35s.
