If we get the guys back from academics, this team has more talent than 2012, although there is no ELITE position group (i.e. front 7 like 2012) that can takeover a game. On top of that, the youth + Golson being gone for a year = I have no clue what to expect.
1. Our redzone offense is basically the only thing that is keeping this offense... even with Tommy Rees at the helm... from scoring 35+ a game. That SHOULD get better this year.
2. If Golson has learned how to accurately throw the deep ball, there are only 5 teams on our schedule that even have the personnel to run with our full compliment of receivers. Michigan, Stanford, USC, FSU, and Louisville. No one else should even be able to slow down our passing attack if Golson can hit the guys when they try to stretch the field.
3. Biggest enigma to me is how much "up tempo" we will run, and how well that will work.
4. Second biggest enigma is if this defense will be any good at all.
5. Third biggest enigma is what happens if the injury bug strikes again in the front 7. "Depth" is having guys like Kona Schwenke in your 2 deep... there are no Kona Schwenkes this year.
6. I think our most overrated opponent is ASU, who is going to have a great offense and mediocre-to-bad defense. I'll be surprised if they're even ranked when we play.
7. I think our most underrated opponents are Louisville and Michigan. Michigan, because their defense really might be great this year (but their OL might negate all that if they can't move the ball on the ground). Louisville, because Petrino should have that team overperform.
8. I'm not convinced our OL will be good, especially early in the season. But the raw talent is there.
9. There isn't a team on our schedule we can't beat, except maybe FSU but I'm not convinced they're as good as people think.
10. There isn't a team on our schedule we can't lose to, save maybe Rice and Purdue.
