Looking forward to the Hatfields & McCoys miniseries starting tonight on the History Channel.

I think Band of Brothers would probably be my all-time favorite if I had to pick one.

When I'm not watching baseball or football, I mostly watch the news or the Discovery and History channels. I don't think I've followed a TV series regularly since Seinfeld.

Some of my favorites new or old:

Planet Earth
Frozen Planet
American Pickers
Pawn Stars
American Restoration
The Shark Tank
Antiques Roadshow
Sopranos
Frazier
Cheers
....and I'm sure many more.

Best talk show ever: The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson

That trailer is amazing. Probably just the music but I will definitely tune in

I watch C-Span when they have panels of experts comprised of no politicians, but that probably doesn't count as a "show". If it's fiction, then it's usually science fiction or fantasy [Stargate-1, Warehouse 13, Dark Angel, most recently, and most of the types of Startreks going way back --- Dr Who in its older versions --- amazing how these producers don't seem to understand that novelty for the sake of novelty does not trump the emotional investment one places in the characters and the idea that things, in the end, are going to be all right --- I need less stress not more]. But I hardly ever get any chance for TV anymore. A more legitimate answer today would be "Football".

When Mom was at my brother's home [no longer, she has slipped in her health so must be at a local, good but..., nursing home which I still visit five times a week], we used to watch something she really liked: Walker-Texas Ranger. Mom has always like the big good guys whacking the crap out of the bad guys. Thank goodness I thought that it was entertaining too, as it was at least an hour every day.

Speaking of guilty pleasures, Walker was a lot more entertaining during that segment of its history when I had Nia Peebles to stare at. [and before some neanderthal philistine makes some crap remark about her not being a "hot" enough piece of head-dead bimbo-meat, this is the sort of dolly that's WAY better "in live action" than portrait statue...as most worthwhile women are anyway].

I only recently discovered "MeTV." What a great channel. Don't get to stay home much during the day, but when I do, get to watch "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "Green Acres," among other great shows like "Cannon" and "Mission Impossible." But, at night, every night, I get to watch a great run beginning at 10:30 p.m.: "The Honeymooners," followed by "The Twilight Zone," followed by an hour of "Perry Mason," and then Robert Stack in "The Untouchables." The only thing that sucks is I never get to bed before 1 a.m. But, I am lobbying to get an hour of CLE credits for watching "Perry Mason" every night. Man, that guy is one hell of a lawyer.

Big Bang Theory
Desperate Housewives
Nip/Tuck (re-runs now)
Weeds
Nurse Jackie
House

Dang, I need new shows all of mine are pretty much done. I am a HUGE documentary geek, I don't care what it is about, mostly I like the drug ones, or prison ones, anything historical. I also like watching the Travel Channel when they do the best bbq, steak, sandwiches etc...I've been to quite a few places I saw on the Travel Channel.

And it didn't hurt that his opponent was named Ham Burger.

Is this where I groan and then quip "Would you like fries with that prosecutor, and would you like them super sized?"

I know this is isn't new "news", but The Pacific is a very good mini-series. I could watch it over and over again.

What about "Harry O?" I loved that he was a stumble-bum private eye who relied on the municipal bus system for transportation. When the writers decided to give Richard Janssen a sporty car to zoom around in, the show went to hell.

Family Guy - I would have Seth MacFarlane's hilarious atheist babies any day.

Deadliest Catch - Been watching since it started!

Storage Wars - Barry just cracks me up!

Modern Family - So, so funny

I've also been getting into Cheers and Frasier (thanks, Netflix!)

Don't know if someone has already posted this, but Newsroom on HBO is great. Takes some really good shots at the current state of the media in America. Jeff Daniels is great. Highly recommend it when Season 2 starts up.

Storage Wars is great, but have you seen Shipping Wars? That one is entertaining.

That, and Bar Rescue, the restaurant impossible/kitchen nightmare type shows. The ones pertaining to fixing up hotels, too.

Game of Thrones!

Yesterday when I was watching a Storage Wars re-run (hey, my life is boring, I'm well aware) they showed a commercial for Shipping Wars and I thought "Aw man - ANOTHER 'wars' type show?". But if you say it's entertaining, it might be worth checking out!

I just think it's interesting how they bid on a job, then find out how they are going to ship the item.
