Spurs gonna Spurs. Hope they all buy their commemorative keychains for the League Cup Final against City.

Yeah, you have to like Liverpool's draw. Real is in shambles, I don't think Chelsea is as good as they've been playing recently (but may be wrong). Bayern vs City is a juicy match up if they can make it happen.

United will either beat Granada 6-0 or tie 2-2 at Old Trafford and get knocked out...

Lol this is lit. Madrid is soft.

Also, gonna be amazing when Haaland single-handedly takes down City.

Anyone see the kick the keeper took to the face yesterday? Should the forward be suspended? I definitely think so in my opinion. I know it was accidental but you definitely can't be putting your cleat up that high around a keeper.

It's a tough call. Read today the keeper suffered a frontal sinus fracture. Obviously a red, however, you can tell it was no way intentional, he didn't know the keeper would get to him so quick. I'd say he's suspended for a few matches next year when they are back in it.

Seems like the big news from that game is a Slavia player (allegedly) used racist words towards some Rangers players:

Can't believe they sacked Poch for this. Moanreenyo threw everyone under his firmly parked bus yesterday. At some point, these owners need to stop hiring him. His trick is faded out.

Europa League sucks.

Europa League is the worst.

I never understood getting rid of Poch when the club wouldn't improve the team. He kept them afloat as best he could without help...

What, you don't enjoy Thursday night football in Kazakhstan and Latvia? Puts the "full" in Beautiful Game.

Daniel Levy, that's why. This is now textbook Mourinho since he left Real. He's worn his welcome at Chelsea (the second time), Man United and now Spurs. His time is over.

I sorta get it. He had been there awhile and things may have gotten a bit stale in terms of management. But yeah, gotta spice up the team when you get new management.

I've been too embarrassed by FC Cincinnati's play to post in this thread much anymore recently (especially since I haven't been paying attention to much soccer across the pond, either)...

But they are nearly finished building their new stadium, and had an event to show off what their new home is capable of:

If their big player acquisitions (Brenner and Acosta) don't pan out this year, I may just refer to it as the Golden Toilet. A beautiful thing, but still home to a shit product.

I'm just a casual soccer fan, but my roommate at ND was Bright Dike and he was a stud all-big east player. His younger brother, Daryl Dike, has been on a tear since his loan to Barnsley...I was curious what yall think his prospects are as far as the national team are concerned?

There's a lot of potential prospects for the US at striker right now, but none have separated themselves yet. Dike has just as good of a chance as anybody. He's being linked with a big money move this summer, if he lands in a top five league, he'd be one of the absolute frontrunners to cement himself as the guy for the mnt.

I’m liking what I’m seeing so far from Dike. He is holding up well against the physical PL/Champ teams too.

My local USL team the Charleston Battery (its tied with the Richmond Kickers for longest continually existing club in the states) got sold by its original owner and the group who purchased it quickly moved the team out of (what was) the only soccer specific stadium in the state to a municipal sports complex shared by the local college.

1. Friend who supports Everton: "Citah have $450 million on their bench today against us for the FA Cup match."

Me: That's true. You're still shite.

2. Co worker who supports Man United: "If you put Pogba on this Citah squad in place of DeBruyne, Pogba would put up even better numbers."

Me: The only thing he'd do better is have a sky blue line in his hair but apart from that you're mental in you really believe that. Send him back to Juve for a refund.

3. Saw Dortmund's match this past weekend in the Bundesliga. Their exit from Champions League is imminent.

4. Newcastle are going to get relegated and I don't know what is worse right now, their manager or their owner. Terrible what those supporters have to go through with that clown show.

5. I sometimes wish Harry Kane's name was Mohamed.

There is absolutely no reason that Newcastle shouldn't be a mid table team at minimum every year.

Agreed with you. He would do better in Italy and I hope he gets sold. Give me Rice or Saul over him any day. I hate when United fans have this thought that Pogba is world class currently. He may be in the right system, but that system is not at United.

Yall see Dest's last game? He looks really good since his bad game against PSG a while back. I love love love what he is doing right now at Barca.

Only saw highlights, but they looked good. It's refreshing to see Americans playing really well abroad, especially after missing out on the last World Cup.

U23s getting closer to qualifying for the Olympics. We could field an absolutely loaded Olympic roster if we get there.

It's been over a year for Pulisic. Should be fun.

And WTF are they playing this friendly in Austria. Lovely country and all, especially Vienna, but why, in the Covid days, would two NA teams play there.

Makes perfect sense at least for the Americans. That lineup is full of European based players...

Yep, and most of the Jamaican team is based in England. None or close to none of them would have been released for games in North America. South American wcq were postponed for that reason.
