I think I've watched the clip of the clear as day foul on foden fifty times now. Easiest penalty+red call ive ever seen yet they did the VAR check in about three seconds. Genuinely mind numbingly terrible call.

I'm assuming it's the one on the Southampton keeper. Obvious red and penalty. It's an obvious goal scoring opportunity and he gets all ankle. For those wanting to see it:

Yep. During the broadcast they only showed one angle which made it look like the keeper got ball first and everyone moved on very quickly. I've seen a few different angles since then and it's just such a clear red+penalty. I guess if foden had done the roll around on the ground routine we would have had a real VAR check. Just depressing since that just gives guys more reason to do that bullshit acting.

Agree. Although I think it’s ridiculous when guys like Salah act like they’ve been shot whenever they're touched in the box, I completely understand why it’s done. Completely impacts the ref’s decisions. Foden got up way too fast.

Yup, it's almost a necessity at this point. However, it's a fine line. You don't want to be a known diver, then you'll get simulation yellows every other game, even if you do get clipped.

Honestly, have they stopped giving cards for simulation? Can't remember the last time I've seen one given.

I haven't seen a lot lately, but I haven't been able to watch much either (weekends busy house hunting). I just remember Dan James diving, getting cards, and then when actually getting clipped also getting a card for diving.

How's the house hunting going? Seems like a stressful time to be buying as things are flying off the market, at least around here. Good luck.

It's a shit show. I used to live in Asheville, away from family. Our jobs went remote and we're currently renting from my sister near ND, but want to get up to Grand Rapids to be about two hours from my family (around ND) and two from her family near Detroit and to be in a better job market (the pandemic has hit our jobs pretty hard, we still have jobs, but at a much less salary and much more work). Asheville prices were skyrocketing before the pandemic and we sold and made a good bit. Grand Rapids market is nuts. We've put two offers in the past month, one 20k over, one 22.5k over and got beat out by 20k each time.

Depends on who is doing it. English guys like Vardy, Kane, Barnes get away with it a ton. Alli and Zaha I think have the most but Alli gets away with it a lot too. He's English. Zaha isn't.

Kane is the absolute worst. Absolute diving knobhead.

In terms of clubs in the last five years or so, it's literally the London Big 3, Palace and Man United at the top. Then a dropoff to Liverpool and City, then everyone else.

Wow, crazy. I’m a few hours from Asheville (East TN) and it’s crazy here as well. I bought some property and am gearing up to build. Doesn’t seem like a great time for that either. Good luck.

Yunus Musah officially chooses the USMNT over England.

You could have a 4-3-3 with players getting legitimate minutes at the following clubs for the US:
GK: Man City
RB: Barca
CB: Wolfsburg
CB: Hoffenheim/Bayern
LB: Fulham
CM: RB Leipzig
CM: Juventus
CM: BVB
LW: Chelsea
RW: Valencia
ST: Lille

None even close to entering their priming besides Brooks. Future very bright.

Just wanted to say... HAHAHAHA Fuck Sp*rs! Jose and the Sp*rsycats couldn't beat Arsenal even while the ref continued to turn a blind eye to the dubious acts of Kane, Højbjerg, and Lamela (until he forced Michael Oliver to reach in his pocket).

Valencia youngster Yunus Musah picks playing internationally for the US over England. Apparenlty he could have joined Ghana (Ghanian parents) or Italy (early childhood home before moving to England at 9) as well.

"I think it was pretty clear for me to decide to play for the United States," Musah told the U.S. Soccer website. "First of all, I think it makes sense to represent the country I was born in. The moment I decided to play for the United States came one day when my heart told me that this was the best place for me. The project that we have now and for the future is so exciting, and it's a great pleasure to be able to be a part of that. I can't wait to get started."

Lamela wanted to get sent off. Mission accomplished.

Mourinho's day is done. He's spent enough money for two lifetimes and his act is finished.

Harry Kane is all the proof you need that referees and pundits alike turn the other way when it comes to diving and shithouse tactics. He's English, white and captain of the national team. Checks every box.

Truly hope that a centerback punches him in the face one of these days when he deliberately tries to injure one like he does week in and week out.

No VAR check

No Card

Nothing discussed on Sky Sports in England.

Wonder why.

As Spuds fans defend it saying, "It's a shoulder charge during the NLD!"

I mean, look at his eyes! He has one thing on his mind, Hit Gabriel no matter where the ball is. It's probably only a yellow, which means that, unfortunately, if the ref misses it (which he did) VAR can't go check.

And to your point on Sky Sports, Redknapp was more worried about defending Sanchez's foul by saying, well he clattered into him, it's rash, it's late... BUT BUT BUT it's not a foul to me!

Besides no McKennie, this is as exciting of a USMNT roster you're gonna get.

I guess McKennie is pretty banged up so given some time to recover

No McKenzie, but Tim Ream is a headscratcher, but given what we've been getting lately this isn't too upsetting.

Didn't register how close the names were when I posted, yeah I'm talking about mark. Big union fan here. I think he should be third CB behind brooks and richards atm.

Dinamo Zagreb scoring two in the last half hour to push their Europa League game with Tottenham into extra time. Mourinho getting out coached by a team whose coach just quit due to a prison sentence (tax evasion and fraud) being handed to him.

Mislav Orsic for Zagreb completes the hat trick in the 106th minute. Spurs have 14 minutes to force penalties or win. Screw Mourinho.

Dinamo Zagreb wins it! Tottenham had some great chances in the last 10 minutes, but the Zagreb keeper made some phenomenal saves.

Love it. Europa league can be very fun but it tends to get pretty bland towards the end when it's only second tier teams from the big leagues. Seems like we'll have three teams from the 'smaller' leagues in the QFs this year.
