Wonder how that City vs United game will be.

Is United gonna lay down and take it or fight to get a win/draw? Big game for their top 4 hopes.

That former ManU stud, who was so p!ssed at the team this week, stated it pretty clearly --- there are some ManU players with no pride and no team-orientation (it was pretty obvious that Pogba and Maritial were two in his mind.) Whether this team is more than a bunch of losers-with-talent should show in the City game.

IF the manager benches both Pogba and Maritial, I would bet that the team would show up and really battle (maybe not win or tie but battle.) There ARE guys on that team who seem to me to have pride --- I'd just put them all on the pitch with a plan, and say "be fast, be physical, leave it on the field", and maybe Rashford and Lingard and Mata et al might just sneak a goal or two.

I don't know if Fellaini is hurt or even still on the team, but I'd put guys like him out there and say go at them big fellow. Tell Matic that it's time to show his physicality. Just get some FIRE going in those sleepwalkers.

I say this of course as a Liverpool fan, and "completely unbiased." :=}}

Sooo, I bought tickets two months ago to finally see Manchester City play in person for their last home game of the season for Leicester City. Tickets bought, plane tickets bought, Air B&B, and train tickets from London all bought with the understanding the game would be on Saturday. (I did book my return flight for Monday late morning, because I knew there was a chance the game could be moved.)

As the weeks go by and the title race intensifies into arguably the best one of our lifetimes, my anticipation for being in attendance for this title deciding match grows.

Sadly, the powers that be (Sky Sports) decided to move the Manchester City game from 7:30am EST Saturday morning, to 3:00pm EST Monday afternoon. With two weeks notice for all traveling fans.

I know no one cares, but with you all being American Premier league fans you all know what an amazing opportunity this would have been to have all the stars align to see your favorite team located thousands of miles away play in a title deciding late season match.

I am looking into the possibility of extending my stay into Tuesday morning and taking on close to $1000+ extra of travel costs, but going to wait to see how the game today goes before I make any decisions.

The Soccer gods really F*ck*d me on this one.

That sucks! Hopefully you can find a solution that doesnt kick your ass financially. An extra grand is a big chunk of change.

Sure your not being City-centric here?

Just in the EPL era alone... 1994, 95, 98, 99 for sure, 08, 09, 2010, 2012 (for a City guy, come on), 2016 all had equally (at least) compelling stories/races. Anyway, I do hope you are able to work your situation,... being your team is in the thick it'd be great to catch a game.

Wait,... wat??

It really sucks what happened to your plans man, sincerely, hate to hear that for certain, but this season isn't some overly historically significant race over those listed above.

I do hope you are able to work your situation out though, being your team is in the thick it'd be great to catch a game.

Well in my defense I did say "arguably"...and City or Liverpool are going to lose the title with possibly around 95 points to their name. That is an incredible feat, and it has been some race from start to finish. In my humble opinion, these are two of the best PL era teams possibly ever.

I appreciate your condolences. I was honestly just looking for a place to vent to cope with the depression.

I've seen City play a few times here on the east coast over the last ten years....but seeing them play at the Etihad is a bucket list item.

Valuable lesson learned during this entire ordeal, is never book United "Basic Economy" tickets while traveling internationally for a "sporting event"...because they do not give a rats a$$.

It's early, I reread my response and thought, "That comes off way stronger than I intended...." lol still, it's not an overly historic race imo but if you're a liverbird or City fan then I get it... hope you can make it out

Thanks man! I'm going to try my best to make this work...even if it breaks into the rainy day fund a little bit.

Life is all about creating memories, and this would be a great one to have.

Just for fun, best EPL era (1992 on I believe right) title races, for various reasons:

1994-95- Blackburn tops Man u right at the end
1995-96- England's only real team falls just short
1998-99 nutty ending with three teams in hunt in the final weeks. Believe it was decided on one late goal.
American TV era
2007-08 Three giants all in the running late
09-10 Right to the last
2011-12: might have been the most memorable ending to a major sports league i can think of currently
13-14: Captain not so fantastic lol
15-16: Historic in every sense of the word if not nail biting...

You aren't alone. Sky Sports is getting a lot of heat for this.

2007-08 SPL season was fun. My first time getting regular games and it was prob the best title race of the 2000's. The Old Firm game in April was one of those legendary games that flipped everything on it's head.

Yeah, it has been a hectic few days following all of this since Saturday morning. People are livid about the change, as of course I am because of my predicament.

In their defense, they make it very clear that dates and times of games are subject to change...so I knew what I was getting myself into.

However, I did research beforehand going back about five years and hardly saw many Monday nights game during Match week 37, so at worst I thought they would change it to Sunday and I prepared for that with my travel plans.

Sometimes the universe just doesn't work out in your favor. I'm going to try my best to figure out a way, baring a win tonight....but if not, life will go on.

Plenty of bigger travesties in the world people are dealing with. I just came to this forum to vent, because I knew some of you would understand at least how much this situation stinks.

Two freak teams in England this year. Probably the best second place team in the history of the League, whoever it winds up being.

I think both will win out. Domestic sweep for City. Can't imagine what the transfer window is going to look like this summer.

Liverpool coming to ND to play Dortmund. Might have to make that trip.

United let me down. Dang.

Garbage side. These guys tossed Jose under the bus (no pun intended) and they'll do the same to OGS. Difference is OGS is a former player and the fans love him.

Pogba getting named to the All Premier League team today is an absolute joke.

They're going to be going to random places in Europe on Thursdays in Europa League next year and it's going to kill them. Honestly one of the worst United sides I can recall in a long time.

I hate Barca more then Liverpool, but now I want Messi to shit all over them.

I'm feeling a 1-1 draw today.

Interested to see if the Barca wingers are going to be willing to put in the work tracking back against Liverpool's fullbacks.
