Does anyone want the third and fourth place spots in the Premier League?

Swansea should be relegated just based on yesterday alone. What a pathetic display that ways. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Can't understand Klopp pulling Coutinho and going to a back five. Only Liverpool can try to park the bus and concede an equalizer late.

Pretty sure Coutinho got hurt.

St. Louis appears to be out of the running for one of the MLS expansion spots.

Perhaps good news for others (cough Cincinnati cough), and also provides a road-map for how to NOT mess up the bid.

$60M in public funding got denied by vote in St. Louis... that $60M represents various amounts other ownership groups need to start preparing to fund, now.

Hopefully FC Cincinnati has a plan and a check ready for a stadium, if Don Garber and Co. shut down their plan to keep using Nippert.

Yeah, Coutinho was ill and struggling from halftime onward, Klopp said.

Gutted by that result. No margin for error now, if LFC wants to hang on to that top 4 spot. (Well, realistically, there probably is SOME margin for error because Arsenal and Man City and Man U have tough upcoming games and won't get maximum points. 15 points from the next 21 should be enough, I'd wager. But still, not a huge margin.)

Liverpool have road trips to Stoke and West Brom coming up. Their top four chances are severely hurting now with that said coupled with their recent form against bottom half teams. Really anyone outside the top six.

The match changed when Coutinho went off. Matip and Can played banged up. No Henderson, Lallana and Mane. Now if Coutinho isn't fully fit, it simply adds to their issues.

Whatever happens, Klopp is going to have to do serious work this summer in the transfer window while Chelsea and the Manchesters are dropping cash bombs all over Europe.

Spurs seem consistent enough to mount a title challenge next year. Just need a couple more pieces not named Sissoko.

Lmao United is sucking wind, as is City, and the top teams are all taking/dropping points off each other.

Relax my man.

Liverpool just needs to be able to field a team of healthy bodies with two play-makers still walking. I don't see any of this being Klopp's doing --- the team's just injury snake-bit and not loaded with bench strength (comparatively.) Whoever owns Liverpool needs to give him more power to work with. ... and the soccer gods need to get him Lallana back.

Look at the points they've taken from Chelsea, Spurs, City, Arsenal, Mancs and Everton.

Then look at where they've dropped points.

Whether fit or not, this club has issues with their mentality and the results against teams they should be beating. They can't grind out wins. They defend one way and that's pressing high. It leaves them open to exposure. It is curious when you see how Everton and City chose to match up with them. I don't understand how these teams don't play Liverpool the way the bottom feeder clubs have who have beaten them do.

Lovren and Matip miss games. Klavan doesn't play enough so when he fills in he looks bad at times. They need a DM to boss the middle.

So it looks like Newcastle will be back up and the only drama left is who will raise the trophy, them or BHA...

With Sunderland and 'Borough ready to go down.

I'd really like to see Sunderland, Hull and Palace go. Palace looks like they're staying up since they sacked Pardew and got Sakho on loan from Liverpool.

All the top teams are playing each other down the stretch. Liverpool is down playing all of them. It will be a slow crawl to third and fourth

CONCACAF joint World Cup Bid has been officially announced...

I wonder how the auto bids would work in that scenario, USA, Mexico and Canada all get auto bids????

When Japan and South Korea had the world cup together, they made it so 4 groups played in Japan and 4 groups played in South Korea, so there would be no unnecessary travel between borders. There was no international travel after the tournament began until the quarterfinals I think. Having 3 nations will create much more international travel, which could potentially be a political issue. Plus, I selfishly want a world cup completely in the USA next time it comes to North America.

Currently only Columbia, Morocco and maybe Australia and maybe England are in contention... I'm pretty confident this happens all things considered.

USA should get to host. And only the USA. Frankly, we should be hosting in 2018 and England in 2022. Or vice versa. Leave it to FIFA to reward countries for being shitty with allowing them to host the event.

The infrastructure from 1994 has improved, so I see no reason why Mexico and Canada should get to piggy back the thing.

In other news, I am not much of a religious person, but if there is indeed a God or any higher power I'd like to thank it daily for Arsenal Fan TV.

I'd be good if Germany or England got it every time. They have the stadiums, they fill their stadiums, small countries, travel is not a major concern.

The US is fine as well, though it's a big country, harder to travel for fans.

Which is why you should have games within the same time zones, or only one away. There shouldn't be a reason, with our infrastructure and stadiums, that a team should play in LA for Game 1, and then Miami for Game 2.

Honest question, how many NFL Stadiums are wide enough for an official FIFA pitch? Im talking the official 75yds width?

I'm not sure, but I really hate the whole idea
Me too. We already have great infrastructure and we wont have to building billion dollar stadiums that wont be used again. Screw Mexico too. They will somehow screw us over.

Who cares about Canada anyway...?

I would be down for a rotation of four or five nations that already have everything in place... obvious reasons coming from the last few hosts...

I'd throw us in the rotation honestly, no homer.

I would very much enjoy going to a major tournament in Germany. I was in Munich for a few days last summer and had a great time. The infrastructure in place is second to none. It's easy to get around on the train system, and its ridiculously clean.

Multiple stadiums that were used in 94 are still in use today... but I'm sure they'd upgrade to more updated venues with some (I don't see RFK ever hosting a World Cup again for example) ... with all of the 'world class stadiums' we have in this country I doubt that finding a handfull with the ability to accommodate the pitch would be any real challenge....

Here's a totally random thought, why should the entire country host all at once?? In this hypothetical world where the venues rotate why not keep it region specific?? Only the west coast in 2026... only the American South 12 years later and so on....???

I would imagine that the USSF has a million internal political reason why a major tournament is shared by venues across the entire country and not just in a single region. There's probably a contract that states they have to spread it out to multiple cities nation wide and not restrict it to only 1 regions economy.

I don't doubt it, the second paragraph was more just 'random thoughts with acamp'... considering travel and size vs Europe and such...
