I turned it on at half time. I thought after the red card for about fifteen minutes, Spurs dominated. That Alexis goal really neutralized the momentum and it was pretty much 50/50 after that. Each team needed 3 points. With that result, Leicester wins.

The other team started well, Ospina made a great save on a sure goal. Seemed like after that, Arsenal turned on the pressure. Got a goal and seemed like they could get another before the half. Started well after the half then Coquelin lost mind temporarily.

I'm excited for Dortmund v Bayern. Would be even sweeter if Pulisic gets some minutes.

I feel bad for Guzan and Aston Villa. City pouring it on. It's 4-0 and aguero just missed a PK so it could be a lot worse.

The problem the MLS faces is the unbelievable popularity/success and most importantly, the access of the English Premier League. It will continue to be hard for the MLS to gain a stronger foothold until that changes. Go Galaxy!

agreed. EPL TV ratings even in the US are incredible. It is trending in the right direction for MLS though. The first thought should not be the EPL, rather Liga MX. It is getting there, but the overall quality of Liga MX still trumps MLS just slightly. Once MLS is the best league in NA, the focus should then be on the EPL market.

I love reading articles like this, about how world soccer superstars like Pirlo come to the U.S. to revel in their anonymity. Just so interesting, but I wonder how long it will really be that way. So many more people in the U.S. seem to be following world soccer more closely now.

His problem has been that his movement just makes no sense. When you are built as if you were genetically engineered to score headed goals, Emre Can shouldn't have to wave you INTO the box. You should already be there. But he definitely has the ability.

Top 4 isn't totally out of reach for Liverpool. Man City's form hasn't been great lately, although the game against Aston Villa may have boosted their confidence.

What a punching bag Villa has become. A proud club brought tragically low.

I'd be okay with West Ham doing it. Arsenal, I think, are staying top 4. It's just what they do.

I'm in the same boat as you, root for City but love watching any of the EPL. I'm rooting for Leicester to pull it off if City can't. During the City/Liverpool game the announcer speculated that Pep Guardiola might have something in his contract about City having to finish top 4 in the league or he may not come. Heard anything about that? I don't really follow any City forums (one obsession is enough) so I'm not up to speed on internet rumors.

Yeah, I wouldn't hate that. West Ham is fun to watch because of Dmitri Payet. It's no great exaggeration to say he's been the best player in the EPL this year; only a couple other serious candidates, like Riyad Mahrez or Oezil, come immediately to mind. It's amazing sometimes to watch him completely control the game from that left wing.

Agreed on all counts. You could throw in De Bruyne if he didn't get injured. This season was supposed to be Hazard's to dominate and he has been a disappointment.

Germany or France are obvious picks, but I think this could be Belgium's time to shine. If Hazard finds his form in the coming months, not to mention having Lukaku, Benteke, DeBruyne, Miralles, and Nainngolan is a pretty damn good core for a midfield and attack. Kompany and Vertoghen at CB with Courtois at keeper is a damn formidable defense. Their only real question marks are RB and LB.

I'm much more excited for the Euros.

Germany or France. I'll take Germany. They are stupid good. Ozil, Muller, Khedira, Kroos, (Schweini if he is healthy?), and the best keeper in the world.

France, at home though, you never know.

Fun darkhorse, Croatia. Mandzukic, Modric, Rakitic, Kovacic, Perisic...pretty stellar group for a country that small.

That back line would definitely be imposing but you wouldn't see too much offensive support from it, which might not really matter with that midfield and forwards.

North Dakota, good call on Croatia. That's another tiny country like Belgium that pumps these great players out like its nothing.

I'd like to see Iceland advance past the group stage.
