I have only seen it done for men's soccer so I am not sure what you are speaking of. I am sure Germany is number 1 and Brazil is 2. After that I am not too sure. USA is probably top 10 thanks to the women.

I'm asking if anyone knows of anyone that has a system like that,... I'd love to see it, every country, ranked in order, everything accounted for in one ranking...

Going to watch the Men's USA team take on Guatemala tomorrow night at LP field. Anyone else going?

I am jealous. I was at the USA-Turkey friendly last year and that was an incredible environment and as someone who has been in the student section for ND football games the past three years, I can honestly say that sitting with the American Outlaws was a much more exciting and fun experience. There are some wild ones in there.

Enjoy, man.

So I jumped in the pool at half and came back and Mix is on the back line... Wtf happened? Just moving things around for Zardes or was someone hurt??

Idk. I also stepped away and missed the changes.

They seem a bit out of sink... often not reading each other's runs and passes right

The team is definitely lacking a bit of chemistry( understandable) but Jozy just seems out of it.

BTW Zardes is playing so much better than him.

I am glad we at least get Honduras out of the way first because they are the dirtiest of the bunch. As far as chemistry goes, you have to remember that they've only been practicing together since Tuesday. I am confident that they will be fine come Tuesday. Nothing wrong with a 4-0 victory over a banana republic to work out the kinks.

Klinsmann hasn't done it at all and I don't think he ever has for his club, but I would really be interested to see Timmy Chandler play in the midfield. He sucks at defense, but he is so dangerous going forward, has a great shot as seen tonight, and is a good passer with tons of pace.

Altidore needs to bury that penalty, but other than that I thought he played pretty well considering he was always triple teamed.

Chile and Argentina tied 0 0 at end of regulation. Argentina is clearly controlling and I hope they finish out on top

I can't believe they put him in the game to begin with. I mean, aguero is my favorite player in the world so I wouldn't take him off for anybody, but Tata took him off for higuain instead of tevez smh

Happy the copa and women's tourney are both done. Now we can speculate more about how many points Pool will win the Prem by this upcoming season ;)

Pool might make the top 4 next year. I really like the signing of Firmino, but I don't think Clyne or Ings are the right answers.

USA Gold Cup game tomorrow is gonna be great. Would love to clobber this Honduras team, but the team that came out against Guatemala will not do that. They should still win, but they need to show much better (and I think they will).

So I'm super pumped today... driving into work only one radio station isn't at commercial so I listen to some dips talk... you guessed it, soccer... and I'm like, 'yeah, let's talk some Gold Cup!"...

then they drone on and on and on about how soccer is not a relevant sport and how the MLS is not a real league and how even the NHL is massively more important (A nice little backhanded slap at another sport I highly enjoy)... how nothing in USA soccer has changed since the 99 world cup win, (which is total bs btw, it's MUCH bigger now)... not a single freakin mention that the Gold Cup even exists..

sigh, I need to get satellite radio again so I can just pick and choose what sports I listen to,..

Most radio personalities are clowns, and tend to be a bit older and don't get it. Just look at the younger demos when it comes to soccer. i am not saying the MLS will be the most popular (although I'd love to see it on par with a Portuguese/Dutch league sooner than later), but the sport of soccer will eclipse some of the main sports in my lifetime.

This is just them catering to their audience.

Saying soccer hasn't grown since 1999 is a bold faced lie.

USMNT in the World Cup has made a quarterfinal and 2 round of 16s out of 4 World Cups.
USWNT has won a World Cup, a Gold medal, and not to mention be the best team in the world the majority of that time.
MLS had 12 teams in 1999, with 2 of those on the brink of failure. In 2015, they have 20 teams, all of which are now operating on profit and are only expanding.
MLS average salary in 1999 was $54,000 and the minimum salary was $19,000. In 2015, the average salary is over $250,000 and the minimum is over $60,000.
MLS attendance average in 1999 MLS had an average attendance of 15,961, with 25.8% of its games have attendance below 10,000. In 2015, the average attendance so far 20,900, with 0 games below 10,000 and 45.9% of the games above 20,000.

Let them think soccer hasn't grown in the US.

nsisk, I'd say MLS as a whole is already there. Though they don't have teams as good as Ajax, PSV, Benfica, or Porto, they certainly have teams better than "Go Ahead Eagles"(what the hell type of name is that?), Cambuur, Twente, Maritimo, and Ria Ave.

1. First off, stop lying. No way do people still think that way. No friggin' way. And no way do they get paid to do it as well. Wait, you're NOT lying? Holy hell. Read point 2 immediately.

2. STOP LISTENING TO TALK RADIO. Especially locals. They're the worst. Get on itunes and start downloading podcasts. The best soccer ones I know of are: Men in Blazers (#1 for me), Total Soccer Show (huge on American soccer...you'll love them), Beyond the Pitch (more international...you won't like him as much but he REALLY knows his stuff), and The Best Soccer Show Podcast (more of a call-in show, heavy on MLS action so you'd like them...I usually don't listen unless it's after a national team game). I listen almost exclusively to podcasts in my car, and I'm WAY better off for it. I'm sure I'm missing many podcasts but 4 soccer ones is enough for me.

3. Excited for the Gold Cup as well. Soccer gets me through the BORING summer sports period.

4. How fucking stupid were those guys you were listening to? I mean, even if you hate soccer (and many people do...that's fine as it's not for everyone), you're a moron if you haven't seen the growth in the sport. Forget all the immigrants who live for the sport, grown-ass Anglos who never played the sport are now hooked on soccer, and watch the Premier League fervently. Their kids are all playing, and now they have soccer fever. This isn't a fad, it's a real life obsession, and someday soon those radio clowns are going to wake up and soccer is going to be a part of the "Major 4" in the US (if it isn't already).

25 million people tuned in to watch a friggin' women's game. 25 MILLION! Need we say more?

I hear ya ACamp. Bring it on!!! I am pumped today.

While I would love for main stream media outlets to be objective, they rarely are. I have a hard time finding outlets that are objective but not homers and enjoyable without bias.

Go USA!

I am aware of a thing called a podcast, but my old soul has no clue how they work... I bow my head in shame.

I did love Satellite radio when I had it, we went on a debt elimination push about five years ago and got rid of it... I'm a sad panda.

Also, Men in Blazers are funny, I like them, but I'm just not that into English soccer... I tried, I even picked a Scottish border team like Newcastle... I, just, can't, do, it.... and MnB are way too EPL-centric for me... I'll have to look into the other ones tho...

I agree with 23 on the MLS too, it's already passed the Dutch league imo and is close enough to Portugal to make the case... the growth has been unreal, just 5-6 years ago the Scottish League was heads and tails above the MLS, now it's the other way around... now Scotland falling completely apart has something to do with that but so does the MLS getting MUCH better in a very short amount of time. Those who have watched for years I'm sure would agree, the league is night and day from where it was when say, Beckham first arrived.

More proof of soccer's growth in the US: Manchester City vs Manchester United at 10 in the morning this past year had 1.1 million viewers in America. For comparison purposes, Mets vs Dodgers in primetime this past weekend on ESPN has 768,000 viewers. I am by no means saying soccer has surpassed baseball, but that number for a soccer game not involving American teams is absurd.
