Jozy going to the premiership is a bad move. He is developing well at AZ and the key word is still developing. The dutch league is notorious for thier incredible ability to develop a players potential and Jozy's is sky high, I just think he should have stayed for one more year.

Also, I'm surprised that no one is talking about how good Holden looked the other night. He was spraying passes all over the field and the main reason for 5 of the six goals. Him and bradley can be an incredible tandem.

One last thing, where is Aguedelo on this Gold Cup roster? He's playing great lately and even transferring to Celtic in the spring. The main problem is he is a creative wide man that is being played as a striker which is killing his potential.

Sorry for the rant lol, just a huge soccer fan and aggravated USMNT fan.

agreed Sunderland is kind of a graveyard. Surprized he would go there (must be good money), he could have gotten a more progressive club interested i am sure.

I love Agudelo, but give him time. He definitely is not ready for this World Cup cycle, which is essentially what the Gold Cup is for, to find out who is ready and good enough. In 2018 he will only be 24 so he has plenty of time.

true, but why have a guy like Wondolowski in it whens he is already 30+ when you have all of this youthful talent. One example is that Teal Bunbury just switched to Canada due to lack of involvement. He was a great striker, and was part of that upcoming trio of Agudelo, Shea, and Bunbury. Also, if Klinnsman loves Boyd so much why isnt he on the Gold Cup roster. Hes on the bench of every friendly but not the tournament in which he can start in? Doesn't make sense to me.

Boyd was actually on the "big boy" roster for the qualifiers, training with the #1 team, and Klinsman made an agreement with the clubs that he wouldn't take players for both the qualifiers AND the Gold Cup, so that leaves Boyd out.

Now, you can make an argument that Boyd shouldn't have been on the #1 team if he wasn't going to play, but that could go for a few players besides Boyd as well. Not everyone can play. Tough call, but obviously in Boyd's case, Klinsman thinks that it was better for him to practice and play against his best defenders than to play in the Gold Cup. I don't know enough about the total situation to say if that's bad or not, but I can see why you feel the way you do, no doubt.

Edit: As for Wondolowski, the World Cup is only next year, so his age makes no difference really; if he can somehow catch fire like he has on the club scene, he'd be worth the selection. This is his last chance, so it'll be interesting to see what he does with it.

I am pretty sure(not positive) Agudelo has no interest in capping for Colombia. He knows he has a bright future with the USMNT.

The real shocker of the first half is that we gave up a goal to Belize.

Panama is a serious threat in the Gold Cup... I am glad we won't have to meet them until possibly the final.

Gabriel Torres and Blaz Perez are studs. They are just dissecting Cuba.

Cuba looked good for the first 30 minutes, but they get rattled wayyyyyy too easily.

Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago tonight. Lets go Trinidad and Tobago!

What did you think about that red card on Cuba? I thought it was a yellow not a straight red.

Meh. The Cubans had it coming to them. I agree with you, but anytime a foul goes against them the whole team storms the ref. Kinda scary for a ref haha.

Trinidad and Mexico still tied in the 75th minute... I am loving it.

I was hoping for T&T to win this game. Doesn't look good after that late Jimenez goal....

Meh. It was a foul by Beasley but he shouldn't have been in that position to begin with. Zelaya dribbled through like six guys.

El Salvador's keeper is balling out. Could easily have had one or two more.

Yeah but it was a dumb foul... the ball wasn't really close to the player.

At least we look pretty good going forward.
