Two reps in the first three posts... not bad...
Anyway, this is exactly why I can't stand Ronaldo...
Make that 3 of 5. lol
What does everything think of:
1.) card the flops retroactively... if the camera shows you flopped and you didn't get popped then you can still get hit for future games...
2.) only card the really obviously fouls and let the rett go as the main reason they flop is at times anyone who is breathed on gets a free kick... Red cards should be reserved for just crazy shite and prevention of clear breaks... the amount of players that get the boot for simply comitting two 'fouls' is too high for my taste.
It seems odd to card for diving, it is just going to create controversy. I think the only way to get them to stop and stop controversy is to have somebody replay it after the game and then suspend them or something that way. Not all who dive are fouled, but some are fouled and then you have people bitching about the foul or lack thereof, and more people bitching about the guy diving.
It is quite ridiculous though. That is why I never liked South American teams and really starting to dislike Spain and Portugal too.
Can someone explain this Great Britain soccer team to me.
First of all shouldn't it be United Kingdom? Isn't Great Britain just the island with England, Wales, and Scotland? What about northern Ireland? Aren't they part of the same country? And why was England not UK for Euro 2012? So confused.

You're just bringing all the bad news today (Reid's son)...
Awful to hear about Urso though.
NDLA I see you lurking, and I wanted to ask you if you knew anything about these guys Soccer Development Through Education — Someone posted a video of them on the LFC forums so I watched it and got interested. They had admittedly an all-star team, but they were playing tremendous pass and move footie at the U-11 age group. Let me dig up the vid quick and I'll post it. I subscribed to their blog and it's pretty interesting and also reassuring knowing we have guys like this molding our future at the youth level. Just thought you may have heard of them during your time in SoCal.

Absolutely amazing for a U-11, all-stars or not. They have no official affiliation with Barca. I'm kind of guessing some questions will be asked. They are sons of Argentine immigrants and they obviously love the game, and are trying to bring some flavor to the U.S. They go to Barca's coaching clinics once a year but Barca doesn't have anything official outside of Catalonia. They just have respect for their academy and setup.
I honestly hope the SPL goes under very soon... the major teams would then surely get absorbed into the EPL/Championship (English soccer in general)...
Celtic would be a lower mid level first divison team right now,... but within ten years the EPL income upgrade, a world wide brand/fan base and a great park... I really feel Celtic would be easily up with the Spurs and Gunners of the world at worst.
Here's hoping something happens, I have seen talk of it being a possiblity, if even for only Celtic.
All of my students are so bummed out right now... I wish I could take a picture of their long faces and post it... lol
should I remind them that the goal was scored by someone with a hispanic name??? just to rub it in further??? lol
