Ever since Pool got their goal, Utd literally go to ground every couple minutes. That goal was at like 65'. It's now the 89' minute and they've played maybe 15 minutes of actual soccer since then.

6 minutes of stoppage time. He could have went with 10 minutes and no one could have complained.

No surprise here though. Mourinho's teams are alway masters at wasting time... I hate freaking anti-sport like this. The thing I hate the most about soccer. It's just too easy to do in this sport though. Referees should not let that go on. Obviously, Craig Pawson is like a deer in the headlights so not much is to be expected from him...

Man, that Old From this morning... Huns score in the 2nd minute, then Rogic scores the first of three fantastic Celtic goals on the day... Rangers jump back up later in the first half, Dembele scores a great goal right at the half 2-2...

Jozo is red carded early in the second half but Celtic fight through it score the winner anyway... classic OF. I think this is the first time Celtic have won four straight at IBrox...

Yeah, the refereeing was really poor in the LFC/Man U game. It was a really disappointing game all around from a Liverpool perspective. When it comes down to it, refereeing decisions aside, we got Mourinho'd. That's gonna happen from time to time. Still in good shape for top 4 which is all that's really in play in the EPL at the moment anyway (although I'd be a lot happier in second than in fourth, I have to admit), and there is still a lot of soccer to play this season, so it's all good.

Yeah, I was none too pleased about any of those.

There was also Fellaini's take down on Mane and Rashford should have received a second yellow.

Craig Pawson got Liverpool earlier this season against Everton.

Brutal first half, brutal Lovren and everything Mourinho did worked. Liverpool can still finish second ahead of them. Watford at Anfield is an easy way to bounce back. Need to be focused.

Tottenham's diving needs to be on the FA's radar. It's gotten behind ridiculous. Week in and week out.

Celtic and Rangers finally felt like the old days again. Just awesome.

Here it is I feel. Classic Arsenal (of that last 10 years). Too far out of the Premier League, so somehow they will find a way to get to the Euro Finals, make a run of unbeatens in the EPL and finish 5th or 4th (GOD KNOWS HOW!) and Wenger will say, "I am very please with this team's tenacity. I believe we showed some great resolve to close ze season. This will be a springboard for next year. We will make some quality signings, but not just spend money to spend it." And all will be forgiven.

Thanks ACamp... you're the best bro...

Couple of the goals had some shaky defense but it made it all the more fun to watch.

Watched the first 10 minutes of Dortmund the other day and Pulisic had two great crosses, one resulting in an OG. He looked sharp.

As a pool fan i dont know how you could look at the game they played and expect to get points. Never had a shot that challenged De Gea.

Well...an obvious handball, and a penalty if Salah goes to ground (props to him for not doing it though). Hard to get good shots on United the way it is, more difficult when they are getting away with stuff.

Agreed, and also Liverpool had a couple of decent chances that absolutely could and should have troubled De Gea, but just weren't well-taken. The corner kick where Van Dijk had a free header but missed and it glanced off his head onto his shoulder was the best (or worst) of them. Also Firmino had a good look from about 20-25 yards that went right to De Gea, Milner missed the target from about the same distance when he had plenty of time to tee up a good effort ... it just wasn't Liverpool's day.

Which is not to say Man U didn't deserve the points. They defended brilliantly (other than the own goal), it has to be said. But I think it def could have gone either way.

Tbh, it was the one time since January where I thought Liverpool really missed Coutinho. Oxlade-Chamberlain was horrendous, and just when I thought he was coming into his own.

MLS Expansion Update:

FC Cincinnati is currently in negotiations with Cincinnati Public Schools about a land-swap. FCC would tear down a current high school stadium to clear room to build their MLS stadium, and would build a new high school athletics complex 1.5 blocks away, which is actually closer to the school it serves.

FCC is also signing community agreements to ensure that residents of the area have priority opportunities at any stadium-related jobs, whether in construction of the stadium, or in operation of the stadium once it's built.

There's a hangup with the tax breaks FCC is proposing for themselves (LOL). They want to pay $100k/yr in taxes while they build the stadium. That will go up in the first five years that they actively use the stadium. After that, taxes will be determined by FCC's profits.

Basically, FCC wants a HUGE tax break to develop the property and surrounding area.

If FCC and CPS can't reach an agreement on the tax money, FCC will sign a contract in Newport, KY, and build the stadium on the riverfront on the KY side, directly across from the Reds' Great American Ball Park.

Once this is all worked out by the 3/31 deadline (which I assume came from MLS), Cincy will be good to go in the MLS. They'll play MLS games at Nippert Stadium in '19 and '20 while their new stadium is being built, and will begin play in the new stadium in March of '21.

You think theyll be in for '19? Not saying it can't happen, but wouldn't be surprised if they wait until '20

Based on how long it has taken to "announce" the second expansion franchise, my best guess is that there are two hangups:

1. MLS wants Cincy's stadium plan set in stone, so as to avoid a fiasco like what they have with NYCFC. That takes time and public negotiation on Cincy's side.

2. Don Garber and FCC GM Jeff Berding have both been quoted as saying "we're crossing the T's and dotting the I's" or "We're pushing this towards the finish line." That leads me to believe that FCC is reworking sponsorship agreements, as well as agreements with Nippert Stadium and the University of Cincinnati, to include the MLS side on everything. There's a lot of lawyering that's being done behind the scenes, and I'd imagine it's been under wraps because they want it done for '19.

Garber has said openly that they'd like to balance the league and get someone to start play in the East in '19 if possible... Cincinnati fits that bill.

Welp, schadenfreude is a hell of a drug. I feel amazing.

Really, props majorly due to Sevilla. They have become real experts in knockout soccer in recent years.

Roma coming up with a massive win today in CL. Perfectly even series TBH. In the first leg Roma was dominated in the second half. Today at home the game was very open, but Roma still had the better chances and did well to defend the last 20 mins. I expected them to concede and tie.

What a great tie that was. Those are two likable squads, and I'm sad one team had to go out. This is one of those ties that makes the away goal rule seem kind of arbitrary and unfair. Props to Dzeko for that big goal though.

I mean, maybe it sounded better in his head? Bizarre comment.

I wonder if Conte will be the one making bizarre postgame comments tonight. Chelsea already down a goal as I type this. I guess Chelsea always knew they had to score though, so it won't change the game plan.

Conte is waiting to get sacked by Putin's adopted son. It feels inevitable. Arsenal may catch them for 5th. Then he'll go back to the Italian National Team to get them primed for the Euro 2020.
