I'm at a loss for words about Arsenal right now. Wenger is ruining his legacy because he's arrogant and completely out of touch with reality.

I can't really find a player on this club right now with a redeeming quality that really stands out. I guess Ramsey is okay...??? I don't know. They're all just dogs. Ozil especially.

Arsenal after Sanchez;

Lost to Nottingham Forest 4-2
Lost to Bournemouth 2-1
Lost to Swansea 3-1
Lost to Tottenham 1-0
Lost to Ostersunds 1-2
Lost to Man City 3-0 twice in 5 days

Aubameyang was a panic signing.

When I got out of work, and checked the score of the Arsenal/Man City game...

I admittedly haven't watched Auba more than maybe 6 or 7 times..am I missing something? He is obviously very fast and he's not a bad player, but I don't really see the type of quality that is needed to bring Arsenal up to speed with the rest of the big 6.

Now that I've watched auba 3 or 4 more times, I really don't get it. Nobody would look good in this Arsenal team right now, but he looks hopeless. He's an average at best player with some wheels, and he hasn't even been using his wheels effectively...

Yeah that clip is a perfect example: if you don't take the right first touch, great speed won't be enough for you, at least against a savvy defender. Kompany looked like a safety on that one: read it all the way over the top and got the angle on Auba.

I haven't watched yesterday's Arsenal/City PL game, but a number of reports I read said that Arsenal were much better than on Sunday in the League Cup final; but they were undone by some incredible City attacking. That'll happen.

But still. Arsenal are just broken right now. They still have plenty of quality up front, but no engine in midfield and they are badly assembled at the back. They need a serious overhaul in the back and in center midfield.

And let's face it, they need a new manager. The squad has problems, but they should not be this bad. Take Mustafi, for example. This guy is a German international. I have seen him play plenty of excellent soccer. But on Sunday he was absolutely shambolic. I don't know exactly what causes that, but when you see that sort of thing happening over and over, good players turning in shitty performances, it's usually an indication that you should take a hard look at the manager.

Auba isn't playing to his potential right now. But, I don't know why anyone would expect him to come into the arsenal dumpster fire and beat expectations. Auba is incredily talented, I honestly wish he was in a chelsea or roma kit. You also have to remember that playing in the EPL compared to Bundesliga and Serie a is a substantial change. Style of play is different. Officials call the games different, tactics are dumbed down, creative play is different. No one can expect a true 9 to come into an arsenal team with an identity crisis and blow peoples minds. I would take Auba over Morata, Giroud, Dzeko, Schick any day of the week.

The North London Derby next week should be an absolute doozy. I can't wait. Arsenal will be brimming with confidence.

I'd just like to point out that Arsenal haven't won since this post on Feb. 5th.

Losses to Forest, Bournemouth, Swansea, Spurs, Ostersunds, and City twice in 2018.

I have in the past but not this year...

Perfect time to get back in. This season has been great so far. Napoli is playing enchanting footy at the moment. They don't have Europe to worry about. Juve is at their heels trying to keep up with them. Lazio, Roma, and Inter are all battling it out for 3rd and 4th place. Milan had a horrible start to the season, they sacked Montella and Gattusso is manager now, and they are on a impressive win streak at home and in Europa. They were down to 11th but have fought back up to 7th and are just a few points behind Sassuolo. The Serie A this year is amazing.

The xG Points in league play right now is pretty crazy:

1) Man City 67.9
2) PSG 65.3
3) Tottenham 60.2
4) Napoli 60.1
5) Liverpool 59.9
6) Barcelona 59.2
7) Real Madrid 56.7
8) Marseille 54.8
9) Bayern Munich 51.6
10) Chelsea 51.3
11) Monaco 49.0
12) Juventus 48.9
13) Arsenal 48.4
14) Man United 47.8
15) Roma 47.2

Best season for the EPL since....??

6 teams in the top 15, 3 for Ligue 1, 3 for Serie A, 2 for La Liga, and 1 for the Bundesliga. 3 of the top 5 for the EPL and any of the top 5 poised for deep runs in the Champions League.

Comparison to last year:

1) Barcelona 87.9
2) PSG 87.2
3) Real Madrid 86.1
4) Man City 85.4
5) Juventus 82.8
6) Napoli 81.2
7) Monaco 78.0
8) Roma 77.3
9) Chelsea 75.7
10) Tottenham 75.3
11) Bayern Munich 73.7
12) Man United 70.8
13) Liverpool 69.8
14) Atletico 69.1
15) Dortmund 68.0

The Spanish powers are down. City was pretty unlucky last year and lacked some finishing. With their signings not too surprising they've made a jump. Quite a nice jump for our Liverpool friends, too.

Cynical Mourinho, punching above his xG weight.

I need to re up my package or find another way to watch...

Btw idk what’s been going on with Aresenal but lol at Auba being some hack... dude is a super beast I’d gladly have him back at BVB

Yeah, I'm not able to watch it much, but I follow it casually via a couple of soccer podcasts I listen to (do you listen to Jim Richardson and James Horncastle? They are great on Serie A), and it sure sounds like Serie A is the best league in Europe this year in terms of interesting races both for the title and for the top 4.

I was so pumped for the Arsenal/Milan Europe League game next week, until the extent of Arsenal's free-fall became apparent. Based on current form, you'd have to say Milan is likely to stomp the Gunners.

This is one of the best Serie A seasons I can remember and have had to opportunity to closely watch and track week to week.

Bayern Munchen at 21pts in hand should just be given the trophy already. Man City too.

Milan looks like a complete different team. Its incredible. Its almost like the players are scared of Gattusso. lol. He has these guys leaving it all out on the field. Its night and day from Montellas squad.

Does anyone else beside me watch Serie A? Just curious.

Really depends who is playing. Right now it is the only title race out of the five major European nations (England, Germany, France and Spain are all but done).

Napoli is fun to watch. I am partial to Inter and Roma as well. I go out of my way to support whoever is playing Juventus, Lazio and AC Milan on a given weekend.

Just checked the table and I'd say you're correct. Wow.

Yup... They meet in the Scottish Cup semis in April too... these two meetings could be seismic. Imagine Scottish football moving forward if Rangers win both, get to the Scottish Cup Final by going through Celtic AFTER beating them a few weeks prior and getting to within three points in the table. That could be game changing. On the flip imagine Celtic winning both and what that could mean moving forward. Interesting times...

Liverpool fans mad about the drab result yesterday vs Porto in the Champions League need to understand:

1. LFC was up 5-0 on aggregate.
2. Man United fans have to watch crap like that every week.

I expect a yawner at Old Trafford this weekend. One team is going to try to win and the other team will be managed by Jose Mourinho. Had they not won against Palace Monday, Jose may have been forced to try and get a win here. Since he's two points ahead on the table, he'll take the point this weekend.

Ha. Yeah, it probably wasn't the most exciting spectacle the paying public at Anfield had ever seen, but the performance got the job done and a number of first-choice players were able to rest. This Liverpool fan was pleased.

And yeah, Man U/Liverpool this weekend is likely to be a snoozefest. Their first meeting this season certainly was. Even more than usual, this is a game where I hope Liverpool can get an early goal.

Damn that hurt. That hurt a whole lot.

Ugh, had to be nasty gut punch. From a Spurs point of view the game reminded me of Liverpool losing the Europa League final a couple years back, what with scoring the first goal and then being overtaken. You have my sympathies.

Juve have some bad hombres. Barzagli and Chiellini are just one long "come at me bro" meme.

Way to go Gooners. That's not how I thought yesterday's game was gonna go. Not at all, on current form.
