Lol really?

You're champs of a 2 team country and one of them went bankrupt.

You're about to pay 120 million for someone who doesn't win games by himself and disappears against good competition

You have a cvnt of a coach who whines about everything

You're not in the CL lol

City are building for the future while the rags are trying to save the past. Maureen will not have a happy ending at the swamp.

Fuck off with the City stuff. Man United build success over the course of history and spend their own money. City were playing 3rd tier football while United were winning titles. And that wasn't that long ago. The Arabs came in and bought titles. And you couldn't retain it.

You're right, we don't have Champions League. And we're still signing Pogba.

How did City finish last year? Oh yeah, even on points with the one of the worst United squad's ever.

Jose and Zlatan will bury Pep this year. Mark it.

I could respect City fans if they were more humble, as they should be based on their not so distant past, but they all became fans 5 years ago so they have no self awareness.

humble, riight, rags are so humble.

Been a fan for as long as I can remember because I loathed the rags and city seemed like the team that made the most sense, being from Manchester and all. Much longer than 5 years ago.

You're bringing in a manager who will ultimately do far more damage than good. Klopp and Wenger are already under his skin and the season hasn't even started yet. I sometimes fear for his mental health, he's an unstable person. Plus, I doubt he would have even wanted to go to the swamp if it wasn't for pep going to city. I suspect nobody wanted to pay more than 80 mill for pogba, a talent no doubt, but not worth a penny more than 70 imo. And you're gonna pay north of 100 mill for him. We'll see how big nose does now that he's not play Angers every week. Maureen is gonna try to force shrek somewhere in the lineup, even though he doesn't fit anywhere anymore. He'll be a liability again this season. But have fun playing the boringest soccer in the world, nothing like parking the bus every week. Pep has won 6 league titles in his 7 seasons coaching. I have a good feeling he's gonna make it 7/8

99% of that is illegible, but as far as Pepsi goes, we'll see what he does without the talent of Barca and Bayern. Messi made Pep. "Best club side of all-time" should have retained the CL title. We'll see the real him at City. We already know Jose can win EPL titles, the same cant be said for your man.

That's Shitty fans for you. Mention United and it just becomes incoherent ramblings about rags.

So let me get this straight. You guys spent over $300 million over a 2 year span and it was your worst team in recent memory? And assuming Pogba sells out and goes back to ManU, you guys will have spent over $500 million over the course of 3 years.

And you give Man City shit for spending money???? Oh the irony.

Guess you aren't a fan of the whole net spend thing?
I mean I get it that would totally blow your 300 million theory out of the water.

Plus it's not giving City shit for spending so much as it is for giving City shit for spending their sugar daddy's money and acting like they were anything before him.

Hearts put on a hell of a scrap... Old school Scottish football... 11 yellows, 7 on Hearts...

Sinclair came on and scored the winner in his debut, but Hearts actually out played Celtic in the second half.

Celtic-2
Hearts-1

Net spending you say? Can't find all the fees, but Di Maria and Chicharito combined for about 60 million and I'm sure Kagawa and and Welbeck combined for another 40. Combine all the other players sold for probably another 50 million, and you are still +350 million (counting Pogba) with nothing to show for it.

...? Yeah, Zlatan. The sarcasm is a little weird considering he's scored twice in his 1st three appearances with a new team.

Dude is old. Maybe he will light the league on fire... Until that happens, I will remain skeptical.

Playing for who and against who? PSG... Against the french teams.

Again, he very well could come in and light it up. I don't think he will.

You can say that when he's playing for us. You'd love to have him but Scousers cant make those type of moves.

Wow, great game in LA but have to be fair, my Galaxy got away with TWO clear penalties in the last five minutes and came back from 2 goals down....

Yep, invisible against city in the CL quarters last year. He can do it against Guingamp and Nantes, but I see him having a tough time this year.

Wellbeck and Kagawa were only 22 million actually.
Di Maria and Chicharito looks like 51 million and some change. I'm seeing reports that Chicharito's fee doubled based on performance, but I can't gaurantee that.

Best site I'm finding to keep track.

And you are neglecting one major fact.
The managers were shit. Moyes should have never gotten the job and the game has passed LVG by.
But the biggest problem and it pains me to admit it. SAF left the cupboard bare to win his last title.
SAF could have won with the crap he left behind, but he could win the league with a keep er a striker and 9 donkeys. Give him a midfield and he'd walk the league.

Why are you so worried about what United has to show for the spending though. I mean do you really want United back on top so quickly?

All this hate does is show me that rival fans are scared shitless United is back.

I am so pumped for the new season, just from the standpoint of a general BPL fan. Man U and Man City have both made exciting signings likely to have strengthened the squads. Man U looked great in what I saw of the community shield game--that CB Bailly might be my favorite signing of them all. LCFC and Tottenham should be able to pick up more or less where they left off; Kante is a huge loss but I think Leicester have some athletic midfielders to cope with it. Arsenal really needed a tough CM and Xhaka fits the bill perfectly.

The only top club that has not impressed me this off-season is Chelsea. They were boring and sluggish against LFC in California and then thoroughly outclassed by a Real Madrid team missing a lot of its stars in Ann Arbor; they only started to do something in that game when Real Madrid swapped a number of senior players for youngsters. I'm hoping Conte will get it together, or they will be on the outside looking in in the top 4 race again.

When at their best, my beloved LFC have looked absolutely explosive this pre-season, with the new signings Sadio Mane and Wijnaldum incorporated into the squad. Their Dortmundification is almost complete. Depth is a problem in the back 6 positions, but with no European football to worry about, I'm hopeful they can get healthy and stay that way, and keep their best XI fit and rested for the Premier League campaign. Injury issues could be devastating though.
