Every climate scientist prediction has been wrong thus far, and yet we're not allowed to question climate science. If not I agree but restoration specialists are able to do some pretty incredible things to restore old and damaged paintings.

yes it was covered in glass but the judge did say in the case they were lucky no soup seeped into the painting around the edges

No you assume wrong, I would have been just as annoyed with the museum for not having protections in place when they not their are crazy people out there that have tired this at other places as well.

Vandalism and terrorism are crimes. Choosing not to obscure a work of art behind glass is not a crime.

Yeah no one said it isn't a crime. It is also negligence to not actively protect works of art that can never be replaced

Uh I’d beg to differ that not protecting priceless pieces of art (some of which are only loaned to the galleries and are owned by private collectors) is negligent and they can be held legally liable for damages incurred to to their negligence
