The TikTok activist told me this was a good idea. You're attempting to use facts and reason with emotional thinkers. It's like trying to explain calculus to a cat.

Interesting take considering how the right wing blow hards have moved on from the hysterics of climate change being a “hoax” to “hey guys it won’t be that bad” in-spite of mountains of peer reviewed science stating otherwise. You're attempting to use facts and reason with emotional thinkers. Explain how isolating LNG from the US makes the climate better. How much better? How does improving the market for foreign coal and gas, particularly Russian gas, help lower the temperature? How does this help the energy security of our allies dependent on imported gas?Interesting take considering how the right wing blow hards have moved on from the hysterics of climate change being a “hoax” to “hey guys it won’t be that bad” in-spite of mountains of peer reviewed science stating otherwise.
Those on the right of the John Bircher ilk have a long storied tradition of being hysterical cunts. Lol.
They are bragging about getting tossed. Manchin should have swapped to R. Environmental terrorists.

And here's the thing: their over-the-top stunts and behavior have the opposite effect of what they claim to want to achieve. They alienate and drive in the opposite direction all but the most radical types, who are already on their side anyway.I do believe the environment is in trouble and we need to do a lot to fix it. But man environmentalist are insane for the most part
We all know that maintaining pointless international agreements is the only way to lower carbon emissions.Pretty crazy. Doesn't make much difference if we pulled out of the Paris Accords at the end of the day, we're already hitting our marks. Someone has to get China and India on board to really make a dent on the emissions problem.

Good to see all the tin foil
hat boo birds coming around to the fact that the climate hoax is in fact real.
Disappointing to see one graph from the entire report posted and the usual dummies piling in attempting to dunk.
Overall annual emissions have risen significantly basically every year since industrialization and only recently begun to drop.
I’d imagine that one big reason the US is “hitting their marks” is due to “woke” libtards and associated policies.

Woke policy has enabled and subsidized that dummies entire business model.Elon isn't a wokester.
So how are you going to get China to quit polluting? They're 2x+ worse than us and widening the gap. They produce 1/3 of the world's CO2

China? Beats me. I’m guessing they clearly understand the issue. Securing the headwaters of the major river systems that flow into China is one of the big reasons they invaded Tibet and how quickly they have come to dominate production in the renewable energy sector demonstrate how serious they are about this.
Maybe an international agreement similar to the SALT treaties?

The article Thunberg was quoting has since been deleted, but it was published by the site Grit Post in February 2018 with the headline: “Top Climate Scientist: Humans Will Go Extinct if We Don’t Fix Climate Change by 2023,” according to an archived version of the web page. The first line of the story stated: “A top climate scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.”
Making it all about Elon Musk making things “sexy” is completely disingenuous given the amount of subsidies and that amount of public dollars that have been dumped into the electric vehicle market and supporting infrastructure. Rich dickheads were early adopters of Tesla due to the “sexy” factor but plenty of people bought the not so sexy Chevy Volt early on.Musk is a dummie? How come no wokester (or anyone else) figured it out and beat him to market? Guess what, if a tree huggin douchebag would've tried they'd have failed. People accepted electric vehicles because he made them sexy, fast and exclusive instead of golf carts with doors. I mean, almighty GM beat him to market by 12 years and today, Tesla has a market cap 15x higher.
As for China, you can't stop them cuz you can't stop buying their cheap shit at Walmart. And the only reason they've come to dominate production of rare earth minerals is they have it in abundance along with the most expendable human capital to dig the crap outta the ground for pennies. We have plenty of it in the Great Basin but it's expensive to bring to market, so we'll use theirs first.
There is no way China will enter into an agreement like that. SALT was a ceremonial treaty signed by a dying entity. After all the good feelings, the Soviets still had enough warheads to destroy the US a few times over even if only 1/3 of their ICBM's were capable of delivering as designed. Asking China to cut CO2 is an attack on their economy and they don't have any reason to consider it.
BTW... I've already owned electric & hybrid vehicles, I'm a home solar user, get my residential electric from nuclear + hydro and plan to add two wind turbines to the roof of our addition.
Agreements are worthless when people don’t follow them.Addressing an international issue without international agreements. That’s an interesting idea.
