Kid is in elementary school. Whoever actually made him do that is a total prick. I mean, think about actually taking a kid aside, walking him to the bathroom, telling him that his fanhood is totally unacceptable, and then making him turn his shirt inside out. The only person I can come up with is a prick.

Agree completely. My first thought when reading the article is whoever came up with that rule is out of his/her mind. My second thought was whoever enforced it is even crazier.

I'd be hot if my 5 year old was made to turn his or her ND shirt inside-out.

Sounds about right, who does this kid think he is? Does he think he can wear whatever he wants to school? He should have been suspended, I don't care if he is 5.

I would tell the school as a parent that as long as it fit the schools dress code the could pack sand.

That's the thing, it was against the dress code. The dress code states that only Oklahoma or Oklahoma St. clothing are allowed. Apparently, this was to fight against gangs.

That roving pack of 5 year old crips is so dangerous. Why yesterday they just stole my matchbox car collection.

I think it was in 2010, a school in Toledo was letting their students wear their favorite college football teams colors for a speacial spirit day. It happened to be the week of the scUM vs Osu game, and given the geographical location, the entire school wore either scUM or OSU shirts. Well, there was one girl who was an ND fan so she wore her ND gear to school and the administration wanted her to change out of her ND gear becuase they claimed that it was wear scUM or OSU gear only, even though it had been advertised as wear your "favorite" teams colors day... Long story short, the girl was suspended from school for the day because she refused to change.

If the school doesn't have a strict uniform policy, then leave the kids alone and let them wear whatever team they like... even if that means a bunch of kids wear scUM shirts, let them wear what they want.... both of these stories make me want to violently shake the adults who allow this to happen and scream "wake up you moron!"

I don't penalize students for wearing other school colors, I do throw 100's at the kids that wear ND apparel. I have made several new fans

If there's a rule against it, what can you do?

That's southwest football for ya.

Gotta be one of the most absurd things I've ever heard. Hate to side with a Michigan fan, but geez.

This kind of thing has gone on for a long time.

When I was in elementary school, I was sent home because my Star Wars Ep 1 shirt was "satanic". It was a picture of Darth Maul with his dual lightsaber. I also had a friend that had all of his soccer shirts banned because they had Carlsberg on the sleeve. We're in elementary school, we have no idea what these logos mean.

I think his parents should be charged with child abuse for making him wear that sh!t!!

^^^ This is funny.
But on a serious note, this might be the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time. I think I'll leave it at that.

I personally don't think the school went far enough.
Not only should the kid have been banned from school, he and the parents should have been run out of town and tarred and feathered for being morons.:eek:grin:

True, but honestly do we even know if the kid or his parents are fans? Hell they coulda bought it at goodwill, a garage sale, clearance at WalMart.................................because it was inexpensive and the kid needed some clothes.

That's odd...saw a gangsta thug wearing an OU shirt just the other day. He was also 5 years old, no more than 6 and half. Sh!t Cray
