My man. Where'd you stay?

Jambo House.

That lobby is breath taking. Loved the views. Kids loved the animals. Didn't have a chance to enjoy the pool or restaurants though. Rained on our "pool day" and we had in-room dining comped the night we stayed in due to fire alarm testing for 3 damn hours during the kids nap time. Pretty much the only non-enjoyable moment of the trip.

Just got back from my first trip to Disney. We had an absolute blast! Already can't wait to get back there.

My 4yr old daughter loved the character experiences, Barnstormer, and 7 Dwarfs. Her reaction to meeting Anna and Elsa and also riding the Frozen ride was worth all the money spent.

Be Our Guest and Akershus dinners....wow. Expensive, but so worth it. Delicious food. Great experience.

We are going the week of Thanksgiving. Great place to have turkey fa sho.

Looking to go back with my wife's family in the near future. Just trying to figure out when (three of them are teachers, including my wife). Don't want to endure the summer heat, but also heard Christmas time is the busiest time of year. One shuttle driver told us that the park hits capacity and will turn non-resort, non-reservation people away at the gate. No way do I want to deal with those crowds.

To our Disney Fans,

You've been with us on this journey for generations, through magical Parks and wondrous ships, on guided adventures, island dreams and more. We love sharing it all with you.

Though we can't be physically together today, we promise the power of magic is here to stay. You can feel it in the wonder of stories and the comfort of song. And in all the unforgettable memories we cherish.

Please know, when it's time, all those magical Disney places and experiences you treasure will be waiting for you and your family and friends to enjoy once again—together.

Until then, be safe, stay well and keep the magic of Disney in your hearts.

There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow, and tomorrow's just a dream away.

We have a vacation planned for Dis why World from June 2-6. Based on your insider knowledge should I cancel it? Thanks for any help in advance.

I gotta be a bit of a Debby does... No my bad, a Debby Downer....
I went to Walt Disney world in 1988. I was extremely upset.
I had been to Hershey Park within that year and was looking to ride roller coasters.
Imho, WDW Is for adults and to this day I really don't understand why they try to say kids will have fun after the parents are hardly able to afford cotton candy....

What I'm trying to say Is, Wiz... please make your bosses lower prices for things everyone should get to enjoy without losing their mortgage over space mountain....

I wonder if they are paying their employees while closed down? I would imagine the biggest issue with reopening is getting staffing levels back up and the training.

The longer you stay, the less you pay to play per day. (TM)

They were for awhile but couldn't keep it up. Interns and College Program workers went first, then the international exchange workers. Non-union workers go on furlough starting April 19. Negotiations with the unions are ongoing.

Thanks. Whether the magic would be still be there afterwards was my biggest worry throughout the pandemic. Big weight off my mind.

Maybe it's because I'm without kids but why anyone would ever want to go to Disney is beyond me. I can certainly find better ways to spend my vacation time and money.

Side note, my former admin that was just laid off was at Disney Orlando for a cheer competition her kid was in when all this COVID stuff hit. They had tickets to the park but chose not to go out of fear and I think the competition still went on...

Just pulled up Yahoo and this popped up as one of the top stories -

Going to Disneyland after the coronavirus pandemic might mean a temperature check

I've always wondered what it would be like to be a cynical asshole. If you know any, would you ask for me?

Loved the DIS in the 80's. 50M paid subs already. Pretty great long term story.

Anyone been recently since the Genie service release last week? They did away with FP and you now have to pay for expedited entry into the experiences via Lightning Lanes. Twitter handle @IsGenieWorthIt seems to be a good follow. Claims that Disney's posted wait times are inflated (sort of suggesting it's done on purpose to nudge people into a decision to purchase the plans). IsGenieWorthIt claims posted wait times are often 10-20 minutes shorter on a day to day basis and most times, depending on the ride, time of day, etc. you can avoid overpaying for the service add-ons and just go wait in line, as they're much shorter than posted.

We're planning a trip for next year at some point. Just curious what's changed.

The wife and I are hear now. Decent crowds (aren't kids supposed to be in school?) We opted not to pay the extra and I'm glad we didn't. There have only been a couple of instances where the wait was long, Pandora and the Himalayan coaster.

Daughter just broke her foot - so I am angling to make a trip to Disney or Universal over a 4 day weekend in mid November. Anyone have experience at Universal with their accessibility process? Seems very much worth the hassle of pushing her around in a wheelchair.

You won't get to the front of the lines if that is what you are thinking. They will give you a paper with a return time or you check in on the app or something

Last December when we went my wife was recovering from surgery so we rented her a scooter and it was fantastic. Just picked it up downstairs at the hotel and it gave us a mobile carrying cart for everywhere we went. All the buses had scooter accessibility and I suppose things have changed now but they really worked to help get her and our whole group quick access when we had to book times or whatever.

Did Hollywood Studios yesterday. Definitely busier than Epcot and Animal Kingdom. Ride time for Star Wars Smuggler ride was about 50 minutes. A little quicker for the other big Star Wars ride. Haunted Hotel was an hour.
