That's cool you have such powers as to see the future. I was worried that Diaco might get a HC offer somewhere in the country but now I can rest easy!

We have all seen what ND does to first time Head Coaches. I love Diaco with a passion as a coach and person, but I do not want him to be our head coach at any time in the foreseeable future without more experience. ND is just too tough of a job for that. He is great where he is, and I think he knows that right now.

But for realsies.. DC, if Diaco's defense keeps dominating, he will get offers from every available option.. No one here truly knows when or what he would take. I do remember him mentioning that he does want to keep moving up.

And I promise you, continuity among the head coaching position is what is more important.

No, coach in waiting just won't work. What does the coach in waiting entail? If BK sh!ts the bed and gets fired you're our guy? What does that say to BK that they hire a coach in waiting? Seriously it's a terrible idea all around.

Plus if BK were to be fired do you guys want another 1st time coach here as Ironman said? I like Diaco but he doesn't have to deal with the media everyday and other things that comes with being the coach at Notre Dame.
