The good news is, BW's first 3 games were in the 20s. Book's point average was pretty darn good pre-injury aside from the Pitt game (which was his first go against a Narduzi exotic front).

I'd also add that he didn't drop off until Long started calling more of the playbook (longer passes, slower developing runs and passes). That's why I've said "keep it simple" or "do what works" the last half of the season. I understand you have to insert variety and grow, but it seams like Long tried to flip a switch starting in the VT second quarter.

Yup. And some of the soft prevent shit in the beginning, but mostly the ends of games gave up cheap scores. I wish we'd keep the foot on the throat longer. Let the young guys play, but call plays to move the damn ball, and on D plays to go after it.

Notre Dame record vs ACC teams
2018 - 5-0, Margin of Victory total - 106 pts
2017 - 4-1, MOV 51 (33 point loss to Miami)
2016 - forgettable
2015 - 5-1, MOV 49 (loss to Clemson by 2)

14-2 for three of the past four seasons

We have no chance.

I think this a sign you should stay home. Just saying. And you can't make it and would hate for the ticket to go to waste, I can take it off your hands. I'm just a 3 hour drive from Arlington and the only Cotton Bowl I went to was the 94 vs TAMU and that worked out pretty well!

No matter what happens tomorrow, I just want to say how amazing, fun and exciting this season has been.

And a big part of that has been this forum. I joined over the summer and the quality of posters from information to just embracing me and sharing in the season and recruiting has amplified the ND football season for me.

Hope you all had a great Christmas and here's hoping we have a happy new year by still celebrating tomorrow's victory!

Wait until you have kids. You will be up earlier than that EVERY Saturday.

They dont care if you are tired, if you are weak, if you are hungover, if you have a broken neck......They are terminators, impervious to human emotion.

*The bright side is after a year, I can now wake up at 6 am hungover AF, and be able to have a long productive day. Iron sharpens iron. Your body gets used to never being able to lick its own wounds.

My family is in town and currently has no plans to watch the game. Looks like my streak of missing big games might continue. Which is probably okay since I've missed Ohio State, Clemson, every Stanford game etc.

I'm so glad I'm passed those days! Mine are 15 and 10 (I have a whole other set of problems with a teenage daughter). I can yell GTFOH if they try to wake me at 5 am!
