I haven't lived in northern Indiana in over a decade.
But the last I can recall, isn't it pretty much a waste for time looking at a weather forecast more than about 24 hours in advance?

I have thought this exact thing from the minute the first extended forecast was put out for the game. Lake effect - could be nothing and could be 3" of snow at this point.

Was at the 2008 Syracuse game and the 2013 BYU game (my senior game at ND). Agree that 2008 Syracuse felt colder in large part to essentially sitting inside of an ice box with my feet buried in a foot of snow. One of two times I can recall being truly miserably cold at a football game.

Won't be making that mistake for this game. Gonna wear 12 layers, hand warmers, foot warmers, balaclava, scarf, the works! Only trick is making sure there's plenty of green on that outer layer.

Speaking of which... has anyone heard anything along the lines of stadium giveaways? I'm expecting green poms, light-up bracelets, towels, or something, but haven't heard a peep in that regard.

You better not wear red!

Outer layer green. No doubt.

Bright green stocking hats with light up green poms would be the best.

I'm in section 23 and the wind is projected to be heading north/northeast so at least it'll be at my back. The wind is the killer part for me.

The wind is forecast to be NNE, which means it will be blowing out of the NNE towards the SSW, not towards the NNE. It will be blowing right in your face if you’re in section 23.

Forecast of snow went from 40% to 50% with a high of 33, so it should be upper 20's by kickoff. Currently 52 in Bloomington. IU won't have practiced in any weather close to what it's going to be, so they may get a little surprise.

LOL at anyone thinking they are rivals with ND. That's like pretending Army is a rivalry. USC and Michigan or GTFO.
Well we've played nearly 100 times and there's a trophy involved when we play each other. I only said IU and Purdue hate each other, not ND and Purdue, but to act like Purdue and ND are buddies is also incorrect. Would be like dressing up as Sparty when we play Michigan.

I could do without Air Force, Northwestern, and Georgia Tech, turning those into open slots for other games (e.g. Texas A&M, Boise State, Arkansas, etc)

Army - Sure
Navy - Sure
Air Force - No thanks
Boston College - Sure
Purdue - Sure
Michigan - Yes
Michigan State - Yes
USC - Obviously
Stanford - Sure
Northwestern - No
Pitt - No
Georgia Tech - No

Replace Air Force, Northwestern, Pitt and Ga Tech with a rotation of 1 big game against SEC, ACC, BIG10 teams (A&M, Texas, Miami, Clemson, Ohio St., Penn St. .....teams of that nature), 2 games against mid-tier SEC/ACC/BIG10/BIG 12) conference teams and 1 lower team from those conferences.

Not good. My son was Indiana and I was ND on NCAA football last night. He won 35-0. This was the halftime score and we agreed to the mercy rule.

Either we are in for a long night or I'm awful at this game. One or the other.
Have him run it back against my son, and we can sit and watch! It's like a little preview...haha
