I saw this too and I just flat out didn't believe it. I looked it up and they only gave up 115 to Ohio State and 69 to Michigan. Are they actually good?
Those are good performances, but those rushing attacks are different than ours. By yards per carry, Ohio State is 26th which is nice. But the difference between ND and Ohio State (1.3 ypc) is the difference between 26th and 95th. I don't think IU has played a mobile starting qb at all this year either.

I’d say ND’s rush offense is better than OSU or UM. It will still fun to see how Denbrock schemes against IU’s D.

I guess it's tough to act like you've been there before... When you have absolutely never been there before.

He's being a bit of a dick there, but there is a real takeaway from that video: for Indiana, this game is the fucking Superbowl. They will bring their A game. ND will have to match the intensity.
Their Superbowl? It's the playoffs, every game is pretty much the Superbowl for everyone. There's no next thing if you lose.

We've seen teams bottle up our running game until they don't, and then we score in one play. Meanwhile I don't really see how Indiana moves the ball on us. We can't afford to make mistakes or fritter away too many possessions. But we should win this by multiple scores.

You missed the part where I brought up that it's the biggest game in school history against basically their in-state Big Brother.

It's bigger than a super bowl. It's the biggest game in the history of their school.

I’m not making any prediction except that the Irish aren’t walking into this game like it’s just a business trip. They will be fired up. We’ll see if it’s enough.

Northwestern threw for 240 yards on them and another thing Indiana hasn’t faced a legit running QB yet this year

They haven't. QBs have logged 75 carries for -10 yards against IU this year. They've also played 9 teams 93rd or worse in rush offense

Guys. Stop wetting the bed. It's fucking James Madison in IU clothing. Take a pill lol
I don’t think anyone is wetting the bed. But we HAVE lost to worse teams than James Madison…. Literally this season.

I think we win this comfortably by mid Q4, but let’s also not act like IU can’t hang. They can, and might make it tighter than any of us want.

I’m just going off pure vibes with this… but I think we are about to beat their ass. We just have dogs this year.

Freeman does a great job with the Mr-Nice-Guy schtick, but the NBC show is another example of how competitive that dude is behind close doors.bAlso, Golden and Denbrock have been coaching a long time. Imagine what they think of Cig. Can’t imagine he rubs them the right way. I think they will have ND ready to tee off on them.

The red in the stadium is what it is. There are so many ties. I went to ND but my most knowledge ND fan family member went to IU. My other cousin walked on there. Many such cases. But I think it will be mostly ND and fans of both teams than straight up IU fans. There’s not a lot of ways for them to get tickets.

I just hope our ND fans who get tickets don’t take the bait and sell…although I know some will. I’ve got some fraternity brothers who went to IU for law school and have the means to get tickets and asked me about what their odds will be. These guys are willing to pay upwards of $3k and there’s a lot of affluent alums in the Indy and FW areas who will do the same.

I'm sorry, but IU is a paper tiger. They had two basic tests this year. One against a very very mid Michigan team in which they squeaked by and managed what? 25 yards of offense in the 2nd half. Against 2024 Michigan! Only other test was OSU and they got boat raced. OSU not exactly elite this season. The rest of the season they beat up on shit competition.

And how much longer are we going to talk about NIU? That game may as well have been last season. Everything about this team is better since the. Literally everything, especially mentally. Ok, maybe not the kicking game... Bottom line: If we play NIU tomorrow we beat them by 25-30 easy.

I'm not saying we run IU out of the stadium, but I can guarantee you this thing isn't a nailbiter and we win comfortably. Also willing to bet we top their "70 yards allowed per game on the ground" before the 1st quarter is over.

Truth. They are a good rushing defense, but their ranking at the top is because they've played teams with brutal rushing games. The best indicator would probably be pOSU. They held them to about 4 yards per carry. 1 yard per carry under pOSU's season average. But as you pointed out, they haven't faced a team with a running QB yet.

What’s gonna happen when all 20 IU fans have tickets?

I don’t know how much longer ND can go w/o the ability to make a FG when it counts.
