Just read that he's a perfect 13/13 on field goals in his career. That's kind of good, I'd say.

He sure does. I'm not nervous when our FG unit takes the field. It's a great feeling having a quality kicker.

Didn't they state that he never played football until kicking for the Intramural team also? Great story if true.

Love me some Ruffer...hope we're not jinxing him!!!

Also, get ready for some shorter kick-offs again, because he lost his KO duties to Tausch. BK admitted Tausch doesn't kick it as far, but Ruffer kept on kicking it the opposite direction of where the coverage was, so it was hurting their unit.

I was gonna say. The kicking game in football is something you don't discuss when it's going good. When it's great, you straight ignore the subject. Damn you...

If he needs more love, he should call Brett Favre. It sure appeared from Jenn Sterger's cell phone that Brett is in the mood to hand out some love.

Mmmmmm.....Jenn Sterger.

Fun fact: Jenn Sterger was an original Warchant.com cowgirl. I know more to this story than most. Here's the deal: Favre could be in BIG trouble.

and the holder...Turk....did a great job. That will get overlooked however...key for the win

Absolutely. I had endless discussions about that when I first signed on to this site. Even had a private phone call with a former ND kicker because of this site regarding the snap, hold and kick.

Ruffer is MVP of this game.

Ahhh, yes. Memories of Reggie Ho and John Carney. Carney is back in the mix with the Saints.

Kickers – when they're good, they're very (VERY) good. When they're bad, they're ********s!

Agree with the scholarship. We've had countless scholly kickers who did nothing. This kid is awesome and paying his own way.
