anyone else ever watch the experts on espnu? i understand looking at teams and speaking on truth and giving predictions, but non stop bashing on a team with no facts to follow is just dumb.
look i've watched notre dame since i was 7yrs old and to say were irrevelent is beyond me.. some teams never reach the top at all, then some teams did and fell never to be seen again. notre dame has stayed at the top from day one to now 12 national championships.. this guys has got on my nerves since the start of the yr. just thought you guys might feel the same way.. go irish beat army

i know... and he's an expert lol.... he played for georgia and they only won two national titles and the last in 1980 so were does he come from saying half of what he says..
i just want the team to beat army and usc win the bowl, and next yr were definatley going to be in chase for the title i think..

First of all I did not know someone as irrelevant as Pollack had been elevated to the great espn (notice small caps) talking heads panel. Man he's movin on up, but really guys they are just trying to get your @$$, dont let it happen. I simply dont listen because they now remind me of a sitcom show on sports. Ratings baby Ratings. Heck he has a lot to crow about being a grad of the great bulldog nation and their tremendous record this year.

He was a DE/OLB I believe. Actually, I always liked watching him play for the Dawgs. He had a great motor and played the game at such a high level. He reminded me of what Jared Allen is now.

For what it's worth, Alabama SUCKED in 2006 and in 2009 won a national championship. USC was god awful for much longer than Notre Dame has been mediocre before Pete Carrol saved them. And lastly, we were preseason #2 in 2006. It's 2010. That's only 4 years ago.

How any can make a claim like "school x will never be good again" is beyond me. Just shows a complete lack of knowledge of the cyclical nature of college football. All it takes it a great coach and a couple dynamic players to win a NC.

but back to the subject, yeah i've been watching The Experts all season long. And he has been the only person that hasn't had any love for ND football ..... all year long. everyone else has been up and down with ND.

i will say i agree with him on one thing Pollack has been saying the last 2 weeks, if Stanford can do it, why can't Notre Dame do it. what Pollack meant by that was Stanford has still been able to bring in smart kids with great football skills, and now they are ranked #6 in the nation. They didn't have to give in, and bring in guys that don't have great Grades or a GPA and still bring in the right kids to play football.

Stanford has been very lucky to have a great coach in Jim Harbaugh, who's had 4 years to coach these kids .... so i believe give Kelly a couple years to bring in the right talent he likes, so he can coach these kids up and boom ND football will be back into the Top 25 again. So after Kelly has had a couple years at ND, Pollack will be eating his own words !!!!!

11 championships, but I love that talking heads use the argument that we irrelevant . People make the mistake of being irrelevant with being dominant. We have not been dominate in a while but if we were not relevant than he would not be talking about us.

Any time you hear someone say that we are irrelevant than ask them why they are talking about us. People don't talk about irrelevant teams.

if we give brian kelly enough time to get his plan running i think we'll be ranked and be back to 10+ win seasons, and if were not i'll still believe and support in every way possible..

I listen to his radio show in Atlanta a lot. They rarely talk about ND, but when they do it is acrid. Pollack hates ND, as do a bunch of Southerners. There is a lot of ND haters down here. When we get a kid from Georgia I am stunned. His radio show is pretty funny. His co-host is a very irreverent single guy from NY. Pollack is very religious married guy from Georgia.
I met Charles Arbuckle a couple weeks ago. He has a day job, as a Pharmaceutical rep.
Really nice guy.

At a minimum, Stanford's recruits have to meet the same academic requirements as ND recruits do, possibly higher (for students in general, Stanford is a much harder to get into than ND). Insinuating that Stanford has lower standards for recruits is way off base. Stanford's football program is where it is vis-a-vis ND's program because Harbaugh has done a better job recruiting and developing players than his counterpart at ND.

true notre dame fans know what we got, we can't help it if are star players (starters) QB Dayne Crist, RB Armando Allen and TE Kyle Rudolph are gone for the season or WR's Michael Floyd and Theo Riddick are gone for a couple games ..... or Shaq Evans transfering out. we go on, move on, and play on ...... with what we got. and the way B Kelly has been able to handle everything so smoothly in his rookie year with the injuries and off field issues rip sullivan. we will be great soon ..... it just takes time - effort and patiences.

Yes sir, we are out numbered down here... I remember taking over Pat Os in 2006 at the Sugar Bowl... that was an amazing time!
