I don't know, I probably could have done without the rap music talking about niggas and their bad financial planning. haha

Daniels is a stud, no question. But for some reason that video struck me the wrong way. I know high school seniors are invincible and arrogant as hell, so I think we'll see a different video from him in four years with a considerably better soundtrack. :)

Music taste aside, Davaris is a big kid! Looking forward to seeing him on the field.

I am just worried about the ratio of the head size to the rest of the body. That has been a problem in the past . . .

Kind of a dumb video. But I guess the kid has video editing skills. Sort of like every other kid in the world these days.

Anyway I'm excited to see how Daniels fits into the program in his first season. He's a tall kid, and it looks like he's beefed up a little since his Senior season. Just hope hope he can make the transition from HS to ND smoothly.

Prima Donnas seem to get squashed at ND. I likes that.

I've never like me a prima donna. I likes me this Davaris kid.

Seems like youngster miss-stepped sociology to me. Notre Dame will be great for Davaris. The rest of the guys will "raise his game" culturally and he'll be just fine. As to playing, he looks like a phenom to me. A bit like Floyd in potential [don't get excited; I said potential].

Calm down, guys. DaVaris didn't make this video. It was put together by his friend. Yeah the music is kinda ehhh, but it's a good look at parts of his visit and the kid himself. He's a lot bigger than I thought.

1. Love the swagger.
2. Not bad flow or beat... really B+. And that's saying a lot.
3. Definitely corny in the execution.
4. DaVaris is either going to dominate or transfer... I don't see any way he ends up being a career 2 deep kind of guy with that much confidence.

Couldnt agree more, i like his confidence but you can tell he wants to be a star. I loved his comment about whooping USC *** though

DaVaris won't transfer. This kid is gonna play

Why do people always make statements like this? Deion Walker, Shaq Evans, etc.... the list of WRs who are highly rated and don't pan out is huge. USC has had dozens of 4*/top 10 guys never do anything on the field/transfer.

I'd say primarily because we have very little depth at WR right now

That's fair. But even with that weak depth a guy like Deion Walker is a great example of a highly touted guy not reaching his potential (re: this year, not previous years).

Next year I think you will see Floyd, TJ and Theo as our 3 guys. We will also probably see a little Goodman, Toma and maybe a guy like DaVaris would get a couple reps if he comes along well... but it will be hard without him being an EE if there aren't injuries.

So let's assume 2012 is his year to make an impact as a RS frosh. Let's also assume the funky scenario where we whiff on RB and GAIII ends up there. So we'd have theo (senior) and TJ (junior) holding down two spots with DaVaris likely grabbing the other if he can beat out a Daniel Smith or Luke Massa and assuming we don't have a DGB or another EE WR that lights it up in Spring/Summer ball.

So you're definitely right that the advantage DaVaris will have is that in 2012 we will have very little depth at WR versus a guy like Walker or Shaq who had an issue with a stacked depth chart in front of them making it hard to break through. I can buy that. A lot will depend on the recruits we bring in on this cycle and what happens with guys like GAIII.

Daniel's family has money from his Dad and he is pretty much from the area, so I don't see his transferring potential as high as somebody coming from the west coast or the south. It's not like he needs to make the NFL to support his family and is desperate like other kids. The thing that worries me is his grades. I hope he works his butt off and gets as much help as possible.

As far as panning out I guess we'll see but he has good strength and size. I do think the competition he played against in HS was weak but other players also play on teams loaded with other talented players which definitely wasn't the case for Daniels.

I liked the video, obviously he could have used the edited version of the song for the background music but the video was good. He is a big kid that has the swagger you need to be an elite WR. His father will keep him grounded. The ND medallion was sweet by the way! Lets go DD for ND!

I love it. I want our guys coming in and thinking they are going to be good right away. Aaron sounded like he was ready, and look at him last Saturday. We want them to want to be good early. Do you think kids come into Bama, Florida, the old SC, LSU, Oregon and not think they are going to be good and have swagger????

Now saying that, they have to work hard. But, I love it. He wants to be here, has imense talent, so he has a little swagger. Great!!!!!

Go Irish!!!!! We are getting athletes like we used to.

I took away how gracious he was with autographs...wrote a few, walking away then probably heard someone still yelling for "one more" and he came back (from inside the stadium behind the bars where it would be real conviently to "not hear"). Maybe thats just me...

Either way elite talent, good 18 year old kid, and member of the family. Get 'em DaVaris!

Noticed that too.

I want that ND medallion. Many gifts to send pretty soon. That will be one of them. I'll look it up, but if anyone can lead me in the direction...

Song is by Wiz Khalifa...I can personally guarantee at least half on NDs current players like this song.

Hell the 2008 theme "Crank Me Up" came from Pastor Troy. Song had more nigga's than this by a mile.
