I would love to see ND play LSU. They do not have an offense to challenge DB's. I mean, their WR are athletic and all, but no way Jefferson will beat a team deep all game.

just like Shinskie couldn't do much after going 1-12 for 4 yds the previous game and then had a career day against ND. ND makes the worse QBs look like potential AAs. That's just the way it is man. Once Michael Floyd comes back, we'll be able to get more separation. Should open things up again.

Great to see that losing to a not very good Washington team is not hurting USC much. They would possibly be in that same spot having won that game. Neat.

Team's that wil lose adn drop behind us in the coming weeks if we keep winning:

Miss
AZ
Ok
SCar
WV
Ut
Miami
OSU
Pitt
Hou
Ok St.
Oregon
LSU
maybe Iowa
Maybe Miami

We have a chance to score some style points next week and when Floyd returns. Could we jump a few other teams if we look good and they don't? This would put us at almost 12/13. That is close to the BCS. I think we would be the only 2 loss team 2 plays away from being undefeated and our SOS is looking better.

If those teams lose, yes. But if those teams win out- we may not.
If Oregon wins out- no way. If they beat USC they will be a top 6 team and may not drop far even after a loss.

A lot of those teams still have ranked teams on their schedule so they have a chance for some nice wins to boost their resumes.

I still do not think we have enough respect to get in the BCS but its not out of the question. Right now i say Gator Bowl vs Miani/ Clemson/ Ga Tech (the acc is crazy)

Well maybe 3 plays

Well maybe 3 plays

Which two plays are those?

UM last play broken coverage on D and the KAmara slip last play against USC. I figured since the clock doesn't run on an extra point I wouldn't count it when we went for 2 and make it. Either way closer than any other 2 loss team. I would take our 2 losses in which we defintely got screwed at UM as opposed to how bad VT got beat and the same goes for Miami. Both teams have losses of over 20 points. If we have Foyd healthy in all games we are 7-0 and we win without as much stress. Do you agree? Obviously these close games are not helping our ratings but BC, Mich St, Purdue, UW basically everyone on our schedule has shown they can play with anybody on any given week. I also think that every team has played some of their best football against us but Lou only has one vote I guess.

That's assuming an awful lot.

The Michigan TD came on 2nd down. So, even if they miss that play, you still have to hold them on 3rd down. If you manage to hold them on 3rd down, then they likely kick the field goal and go to overtime.

In the USC game.. Let's say Kamara keeps his footing and catches the Clausen pass... It took you three chances to get the ball in the end zone from the 4 yard line, but you think it is automatic that ND punches in a 2 pt. conversion?

I will agree with the premise that our two losses could more easily have been wins than anyone else's two losses, but be honest about it. To say that we are two plays away from being undefeated is just not true.

Try being Michigan State or Oklahoma right now. 3-loss teams that could very easily be undefeated right now.

If Lou can say it so can I. Dare to dream. Is it a stretch if Floyd is healthy at the end of the UM game and healthy for USC? I think he is a difference maker especially against USC. I do agree with your comments but when you're 5-2 instead of 7-0 you go through what if's. VT and Miami cannot do that with their blowouts. watching the game again and 3 plays stand out, fake field goal holding call (I think we have had a TD called back in every game so far this year), the slam to the face of AA while he was down in front of a ref, and the ridiculous holding on Neal that wasn't called. The Turk punts were also painful. Field position cost us points.

Guys I think we need to put the "what ifs" away. We could easily be 7-0 but just as easily be 1-6.

I hate to be the pooper of the party (apparently not everyone is a pooper....just me??...) However, I'll take the wins however they want to hand 'em out.
