Will Notre Dame be better in 2010 in 2009? I would like to think they would be a serious title contender, but if they're defense doesn't improve it could be just another medicore season. I know their offense will be dominant. Lets hear what you think.

Many people seem to forget that these are still kids and that they are improving. The defense should be much better next year, the front 7 has improved this yearalone and will only get better next year with more guys being able to contribute. The secondary has athletes so the problem is either mental or coaching. However do not expect an elite defense.

The offense should be in good shape regardless. It would help if Clausen and Tate return but we have enough weapons around them to keep it going. We do lose 2 tackles but the backups will be an upgrade in athleticism.

The team will be better next year, but only time will tell how much.

Even if we go 11-2 this year we will be better. We may start winning a few games without going to the last play but if Floyd, Tate, Rudolph, Jimmy and Armando are healthy we will be the best quintet in CFB. Are D won't be top 20 but we will be top 50 which should be good enough to beat anybody. The key i helath and everyone returning. We should not be tested at the last minute like every week this year. This year so far has been great charater building and great for experience. The D will be more experienced and should be bigger, faster and stronger. Hughes should accept his role as FB work on his blocking and add 10 solid punds. I don't think we will miss too many of the departing seniors. Alot of good guys but the younger players are coming in with a better pedigree and should show that when given the chance on the field.

It depends on some things.

1. Will Jimmy Clausen and Golden Tate stay one more year? If so, our chances increase dramatically.

2. Will Chris Stewart and Dan Wenger apply for a fifth year of eligibility?

3. Will Jon Tenuta get fired?

1) The offesne should still be ok without Jimmy and Golden, but with them we are an elite offense

2) i think its safe to say both Wenger and Stewart will be back

3) How do you get fired if your contract ends after this season?

1. Yes they will. GT gets no props on the projected draft boards. He is an underachiever and they still want to see more. IT sucks but it will keep him here another year.

2. Of course they will apply

3. We either get significantly better (overall, none of this at least we stopped the run BS) or he gotta go. Who could we get to replace?

Tenuta will be back next year. Why is everyone so eager to give the "young" d line a pass but expects big things from their coach?

Last year we lost close games, this year we are winning them, next year we will win big!
