Hard for me to call into question the credibility of Sun Belt Dye Job, but there are churches in Islamabad and a Hindu temple in Tehran.

Their site says the prayer room is open to all faiths, but I can't see anyone else using it. Supposedly the idea is this space can be used for Muslims so they can perform their cleansing rituals as it's caused cultural questions and security issues in the past (A man and his family tried to do the cleansing in a plane's bathroom apparently which caused some worry/concerns from passengers). Not really a fan of tax dollars being spent for this, I would think this go against the separation of church and state. There should probably be a better way.

Let's leave the emotion out of it. Really simple questions for you;

Is there higher related gender identity crimes in Alabama or Michigan?

Did Muslim leaders condemn terrorist attacks?
Let's remove emotion and add context:

Comparing those two state crime rates isn't relevant here. I specifically brought up Dearborn vs Birmingham because Dearborn is about 55% Muslim and Birmingham is more Christian. I contend that any trans person would be safer in Birmingham vs Dearborn. If you disagree, cool. I don't care. If Colorado disagrees, that's fine too. Naive, but fine.

Muslim "leaders" is a loose term, but sure we saw a few guys come out against the 9/11 attacks.

Did it stop people in NJ (and other countries) from dancing in the streets celebrating 9/11? No. Did Iran stop calling us the Great Satan? No. Did it stop the London tube bombing, the Orlando night club shooting, the nutjob in Canada running people over with a van, knife and machete attacks in Europe, etc? No.

So to put a bow on this...Colorado is concerned about a backwoods cult leader in Indiana with 30 people in the room saying he hates gays moreso than 24 years of history showing terror attacks all over the globe in the name of Islam. Colorado also said they wouldn't feel comfortable in a Catholic church OR a mosque, but would choose living in Dearborn (majority Muslim) over Birmingham (majority Christian). ooookay, got it. (y)

Of course it's relevant? ITS GENDER RELATED CRIME. Colorado is trans. There are more gender related crimes in Alabama than in Michigan. How is it naive? The stats are saying it's worse to be a trans person in Alabama than it is in Michigan. You don't like stats? Ok. The only trans person here has said they feel safer in Dearborn. The only thing that supports your argument is that your own opinion which isn't based in anything lmao.

Loose? Do you know what the PLO is? Do you know who Yasser Arafat was? If you knew who he was you wouldn't say "loose". What about the king of Jordan. Do you know that Jordan is country? One that borders Israel btw. How about the Muslim Brotherhood they small potatoes too? Khamenei, are we going to say he's a minor player? So, do you want to change your position that no muslim leaders condemned the attacks? Let's not wander away, I wouldn't want to vortex you away from posts, can you do that for us?

Literally none of your posts have been correct lol. Just admit you were wrong and move on. Enjoy your birthday and not live in fear anymore.

It's not relevant because you're comparing two STATES and I'm comparing two CITIES. You're completely ignoring that the populations are different.

I'll answer your question about Muslim "leaders" when you answer my question from yesterday about the countless number of attacks (post 9/11) all over the globe in the name of Islam.

I don't give a damn what you think of my posts, but no one in this conversation is wrong about their opinion. I sure as hell don't live in fear and never said I did. This whole thing started two weeks ago because Colorado said they couldn't understand why some people freak out about Muslims in the US. My position is that global events of the past 24 years in the name of Islam is reason #1 people could be concerned about Muslims in the US.

I never said we shouldn't be concerned about Muslims. I've stated multiple times we should be concerned of any extremist religious group. It was about how I'm more concerned with extreme Christians. Those people are in places of power to actually enact bat shit crazy policy and we're seeing it happen. I used two recent examples and you dismissed it by saying it just some backwoods preacher. Well there's another recent example that maybe isn't as extreme so I'm sure you'll dismiss it as well, but at the recent turning point USA event you had Michael Knowles openly celebrating transgender people and LGBT people in being removed from society and the crowd cheered him on.

Your original post literally said you don't know why people are freaking out about Muslims in the US. My post provided some possible reasons for people being concerned about Muslims in the US based on the past 25 years.

Yes, the backwoods cult leader with 30 followers who hates gays is bat shit crazy but is a grain of salt compared to the terror attacks we've seen globally in the name of Islam.

I'm more concerned with Christian nationalists like Russell Vought. Our country was influenced by Judeo-Christian beliefs but we weren't founded on them. Historically religion want nearly as prevalent or overt in our federal government until about 70 years ago.

I just don't get the outage over extreme Muslim views when they're not nearly as prevalent as extreme Christian views in our country. I fear we forget that this country was originally founded because of people of all different religious beliefs fleeing religious persecution. And it seems to me that we are quickly forgetting the establishment clause in order to become a Christian nation.
I simply stated I'm more concerned with what was actually happening in our country than what potentially might happen. Go back and read the rest of what I said.

It’s a dead argument. I think we should just let natural selection take its course at this point.

Again I've never said it's a non issue. Do you want me to post all the events caused by crazy Christians? Because we have our fair share of them.. Did we forget about the KKK?

Those events I posted above all occurred between 2009 and 2025. You said you weren't concerned about things that "might happen", so I brought up things that actually did take place in our country very recently, all in the name of Islam.

You're on a board whose fans support the most prominent Catholic school in the world. You can talk about the KKK and all that disgusting crap they did 50-75 years ago, but no one hates the KKK more than Catholics my friend.

When Sister Mary Jane is setting off a suicide bomb in Boston or Bishop McMenamin plows a Home Depot truck into dozens of people walking out of a mosque, I'll eat all the crow.

If (and when) Muslim University gets a football team I full expect Colorado to bolt for a safer board and team. It’s just simply not safe here or at a ND football game… imagine CO walking around ND campus with all those hateful bigoted priests. Poor guy might melt walking into the basilica…

Holy hell. I feel bad for you guys living in such fear of all Muslims. Way to completely derail the point of the conversation. It was about religious extremism of any faith being bad. You all seem to forget we just had a shooting caused by some Christian nationalist last month. Or like we haven't seen attacks against planned parenthood or LGBTQ groups, or Jewish synagogues, or mosques. All by people holding either Christian nationalist views or other extreme Christian views as their motivation.
