Honey, if you can help me, we can double our income and I can take you to Dairy Queen for a reward.
For the life of me, I just can't imagine a 5-year-old "down in the trenches" so to speak, waxing an adult woman's Danny DeVito, her spam folder, her Hot Lips Houlihan, her Satan's Subway, her garden of good and evil, nor any adult customer thinking that was OK, not to mention the mom who put the kid in that position. WTF is wrong with some people??

What’s nuts is from afar people think these comics are all of the sudden right-wingers when really they haven’t changed their politics but the Left they used to ascribe to left them to go further left to the point of censorship. Or in the case of these guys, I think they’re more Liberatarian & simply caught in the cross fire.

The left has moved so far to the extremes that it is not workable in many places. Look at the Bill Clinton immigration speech I just posted and think about how racist and extreme the CNN/MSNBC/CBS folks would make that.

The funny thing is I'm sure those comics were aware of the setting and would have taken proper precautions with their material. A comic is well aware when certain material is bombing and when to change it up, or when to avoid certain topics in locations all together. Reminds me of a guy I saw in Dayton one time. He was a younger guy starting out, and he suffered from Bell's Palsy and some other ailments. He spent the opening part of his act making fun of himself and telling anecdotes, winning the crowd over. Then he pivoted to some left sided politics, but the crowd noticeably wasn't into it. After an awkward pause he said "Guess we'll go back to making fun of my Bell's Palsy" which got a good reaction from the crowd. He didn't really end up doing that, he switched to more generic material, but the crowd loved him. Point is, comics are used to certain material bombing in locations, they typically adapt accordingly.

No pun intended?

That is not a 'major" comedy club as that tag line would have you believe. First of all it's name has the word "bar" in it lol. Second of all I scrolled through their lineup for the rest of the year and didn't recognize a single name.
Didn't even notice they used the term "major", but it doesn't really matter if it's a major club or not does it? Beyond The Improv and Comedy Store they seem in line with the vast majority of comedy clubs who rarely have a major talent headlining.

I would say most major cities have 1 club that gets the big name comedians that aren't popular enough yet for arena shows. It's not really an important detail I just thought it was funny the way they were trying to make it seem like a big deal. Would be like a local VFW barring Taylor Swift from performing there lol.

An article with a spin, no way. Dumb either way.

I would think it was funny they were trying to make a big deal out of nothing, too…except that’s what the majority of news outlets do nowadays. Works every time!

Rachel Dolezal was simply ahead of her time.
Speaking of which, apparently she has an OnlyFans now.

Anyone who has lived here in the last 50 years knows full well that individualism has been not so subtly messaged to us for a very long time. Being selfish hasn't been frowned upon for a very long time.

Now throw in Covid and you've got a lot of broken brains.

It used to "take a village." Now we have too many village idiots. Plural.

Good post, Dodger.

Give an inch, they take a mile. This is a result of escalating theft and our governments refusing to be tough on crime. Demonize law enforcement, fail to provide them with necessary tools and manpower to fight crime, and criminals don't get prosecuted nor are they deterred from breaking the law.

Reminds me of people in San Francisco leaving their cars unlocked with notes for criminals because they'd rather let them in as oppose to pay for broken windows. At least they're not giving away their cars I guess.

The hitler sympathizer misrepresented what TPS actually said? Wow! Could not have seen that coming. Glad everyone watched the video!
