ooo no no troll. Just speaking the truth. There organization is just a joke. For how much money that team has and for them to never win one is just pathetic. I dont care what any of you say.

Sounds like somes arguement against ND.

You've trolled the F out of this thread and continue to do so. If you think there is nothing to talk about, then don't talk about it. I love the insight you bring to other threads but you've turned this one into garbage. If there were a White Sox thread on here you probably wouldn't appreciate people getting on it talking about how Chicago is a Cubs town despite their lack of success or how the Cell is possibly the worst park in MLB and how Sox fans can't even fill it. That would probably irritate you. That's what you're doing here.

Woah woah woah... That's a low blow. First of all it's a tough economy already, and who wants to risk losing what they have in their pockets by going anywhere near the Cell? Secondly, there are just as many Sox fans at the Cell, if not more, than Cubs fans at Wrigley. The Sox just haven't turned their stadium into a huge bar to sell more tickets.

We have a bunch of guys from my work that go to Wrigley several times a year and they have no idea who the Cubs are even playing each time. It's just a party to them. And from what they tell me, that makes up the majority of the people they run into.

I respect a Cubs fan who actually knows his stuff. And I respect the tradition of Wrigley, and I even accept that Chicago is a Cubs town (even though in a survey a couple years ago the two most popular MLB players in Chicago were Konerko and Buerhle). But don't compare apples to oranges, and comparing Wrigley to US Cellular is like comparing IU to Purdue. If you want to party, go to IU. If you want academics, go to Purdue.

Not trolling, and not trying to bash Wrigley or IU (which is a good school if you actually go to learn), but reputations don't come from nothing.

Unless you're GBDomer.

It's not a low blow. It's the truth and it sucks for you guys. You're barely filling 50% of your own stadium. That's beyond pathetic.

Read the rest of the post. It's not a reference to actual attendance, it's a reference to "fans" in attendance. Wrigley is a party, that's why people show up. I'll admit there are hardcore and knowledgeable Cubs fans there, but the masses are there to party and couldn't care less about the game being played.

I know the facts. And anymore Wrigley is a giant bar that the Cubs happen to play in.

This is true for the most part but what I thought was more telling about the attendance stats are that cubs average the highest away attendance. You can't say that every ball park is a party, so the cubs do draw fans no matter where they are playing.

You will never see me into this thread again. Your right it was the wrong thing to do. Just I don't like being called out and attacked on untrue claims. My bad.

Still got nothing to back this up do ya?

Johnny, i've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should probably find yourself a safe house or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.

Ok buddy. Thanks but we gotta stop doing this on here: I get it you don't like the Cubs. And I hate the Cubs losing. Now imagine someone dissing on Notre Dame during a 3-9 season. You get the picture.

I leave for a few days and this happens... C'mon man.

The Cubs are really bad. But, they are my favorite team.

I think this regime will turn things around. If not, I'll still root for the Cubs. They are my favorite team.

I thinkTheo Epstein will get the job done. He did an excellent job in Boston with a team that had a long history of losing and built a winner. That is, if the Cubs are willing to schell out some cash to a few high price free agents. A few high price free agents didn't work out in Boston; however, enough of the good signings did get the job done.
As a Red Sox fan, I know what it is like to go years (86) without a champion and I feel your pain. I will root for the Cubs when they get to the World Series. Keep your heads up!

We had a pitcher go 7 innings give up 1 earned run struck out 7 and forced 11 ground balls, yet we still lost. I have a feeling you could root for the Shark and the Giants would win.
