My wife, my children and I all got tested Wednesday. Three of us had minor symptoms and tested negative. My one child, who has had no symptoms, tested positive. This thing is confusing.
BTW until proven otherwise, I continue to believe that barrel-proof whiskey and cigars help fight off the CoV.

Or the tests or testing is shite.
The testing is garbage. And it has been. You had that one female singer that got tested. For what ever reason they did on in each nostril and one came back positive and one came back negative. The only thing I could think of is that one swab wasn’t deep enough. So the. Why isn’t there a line on the swab to say how far to go.
Just the tip, if you bury it they fall in love.
I have a 133 proof Elijah Craig that I'm sipping on that is strong enough to be hand sanitizer, I'm going to believe irrespective of evidence that it clears out the system.
. You gotta gargle that stuff a little bit, before swallowing.
Got a test done today (what a weird experience, man they just go right up there eh) after having chills and body aches the past two days. I got tested at one of the major TO hospitals and there was no line which struck me as concerning.
Going into lockout round two now, supposedly this is from our Thanksgiving a month ago.
After experiencing some American holidays you guys do them the best. Hopefully you guys enjoy an unreal Thanksgiving and Covid doesn't damper it too much.
Keep an eye on yourselves, my friend. One negative test doesn't necessarily mean you're negative. Variables include the tester's skill at doing the brainin', the type of test run, as well as the course of the virus (if you actually do have it.) This is, indeed, a confusing virus.

Now everyone in my house is positive. I’m the only one that had a symptom. I was really tired one day last week, and that was it.
I've seen "testers" give the person the swab to swirl around in their nostrils. Not accurate. PCR is the most reliable testing. The others:Types of COVID-19 Tests
PCR: a very accurate, lab-based test that can take days to process and report results. The test detects the virus’s genetic material.
Antigen: a quick, on-the-spot test that’s less sensitive than PCR but good at identifying people who are most likely to infect others.
Antibody: a test that tells you if you’ve had the virus in the past but doesn’t tell you if you’re infected now.

Be safe and get well.
Give Bill a ring for survival pointers. He seemed to kick it's ass.
Hope for a speedy recovery! Get the drugs, get all the drugs!
Hoping for the best. Rest up.
Get rest, stay away from the rest of the family and have a speedy recovery.
Thanks for the well-wishes, gentlemen.
Got tested on Friday last week along with my wife, and we were both positive. I got off lucky with light congestion, a very minor cough, and the loss of taste and smell. Sense of taste came back after a couple of days, then I realized that my sense of smell had returned today when I was peeling some oranges for my kids, who are also quarantined obviously.
The most dangerous aspect of COVID has been the fact that I likely brought it home to my wife, as she has been working from home and developed symptoms after I did... and she got it worse than me. She had the full flu-like experience over the weekend with fever, body aches, migraine, etc.
She’s feeling much better now, minus still not being able to taste or smell either, and has been guilt-tripping me at every opportunity.
For real, though, I feel fortunate that we got off relatively lucky compared to others that have dealt with it.
Everyone got tested again? Or new results on same? The False Negatives are a concern, sending someone back into high-density situations who may also be asymptomatic or that the person feels they can drop any protection.
Abbott's testing has had problems.
As Problems Grow With Abbott’s Fast COVID Test, FDA Standards Are Under Fire
Without rapid testing though and this virus having 40%+ asymptomatic persons and with four days of incubation before symptoms, this pandemic will over overwhelm especially in those who "do not believe in masks".
Rapid Testing Is Less Accurate Than the Government Wants to Admit

What are studies starting to show on the possibilities of COVID causing myocarditis? I come from a family of heart issues.
Hmm... about that cigar habit...
If a man can't smoke a cigar....is life even worth living?
Goddamn, I kind of like this version of Northy. What the hell, did you rub up against some libs in your NY time?
Those clowns vape. Men in the Florida Panhandle appreciate cigars though
Over the last three weeks, active COVID-19 cases have steadily declined from more than 10,000 on Nov. 12. Now, 5,236 North Dakotans are known to be infected with the virus. Active cases have decreased every day for more than a week.
North Dakota now ranks third in COVID-19 cases per capita over the last week, behind Minnesota and South Dakota, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Its southern neighbor also leads the nation in deaths per capita. North Dakota ranked at the top in both metrics as recently as last week.
There are 301 residents hospitalized due to the illness, down 18 over the last day. Thirty-eight residents with the virus are in intensive care.
The state's hospitals are still struggling with severe staffing crunches, and available hospital beds are scarce. Many nurses have been sidelined by the virus in recent months, and medical centers have been seeing higher-than-normal admissions. Only about 20% of the patients hospitalized in North Dakota have COVID-19, but hospital administrators say some of the strain is due to the extra staff and resources that must go to patients with the virus.
BISMARCK — Though the state reported another drop in active COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, Dec. 1, the North Dakota Department of Health announced an additional 27 COVID-19 deaths.
More than half of the 27 deaths announced Tuesday were people from rural counties, such as Barnes, Renville and Mountrail counties. All victims were between the ages of 50 and 100.
Per capita, North Dakota's rural areas are also reporting the highest number of active COVID-19 cases. Griggs County, about 100 miles southwest of Grand Forks, leads the state with 288 active cases per 10,000 people. In contrast, Cass County, which encompasses Fargo and West Fargo, has 64 active cases per 10,000 people.
The North Dakota Department of Health reported a high number of COVID-19 deaths Tuesday because of a reporting lag from over the weekend, as is normal for the number of tests and deaths reported on Tuesdays, the state said. (cont)
