I'll just leave this here.

A defensive Trump begins coronavirus briefing with a political show
https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/13/trump-briefing-coronavirus-184752

God Save the Country.

Yup. The sad thing is that the media is supposed to be better than Trump and they’ve sunk to or even below his level making both sides look childish & petty. Fire everyone in media & start. Then nominate better POTUS candidates than the idiots we’ve been dealt the past few decades. America needs a hard reset.

Italy posted their smallest daily total of cases since March 13th, with 2,972.

Definitely good news. Italy's charts definitely don't look like a bell curve. Much longer span on the decline from the peak than approaching the peak. Hopefully the US won't see something similar.

Trump fires everyone sooner or later. It's just a matter of time.

Volunteer firefighter checks his bank account for the stimulus check and finds his balance is $8.2M.

https://fox59.com/news/indiana-man-...us-payment-sees-millions-in-his-bank-account/

I would have ran straight to the bank and maybe fled the country. JK the bank wouldn't have had enough to make any where close to that kind of withdraw. I bet that got his adrenaline going for a while!

You guys ever seen the movie 'Wanted' with James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman?

I saw a picture on a preview for that story with the ATM receipt, and it kind of reminded me of that lol.

I suspect most states here will see a much quicker decline than Italy. I also suspect NYC and NJ may see a slower decline than Italy. Balanced out, it will probably be a similar trajectory.

I'm not sure I understand. Members of the media are supposed to be better than the President of the United States of America? When the POTUS makes claims that he has "Total Authority" to re-open the Country he deserves the criticism that comes his way.

I feel like he's a train that see's a crash coming and just speeds into it. His demeanor and actions are a frightening comedy show.

Anyways, I wish th country could reset too. I agree with that. We do need a "reset" in this country, hard to believe that country is still so divided with the duality of Republican vs Democrats.
I wish that Republicans could have had someone actually run against him. In another reality, I wish that we could have a do over in the Republican primary.
I wish that Democrats could come up with a leader as well, That's another sad comedy show.

Anyhow, Martial Law would have to be declared for him to become have total authority. I bet he's looking into it I'm glad we have some great governors on both sides who can lead us through this.

Prayers and Cheers everybody

It’s gonna take me like three months to readjust to being back in the office when all this is over. I’m such a house cat by nature I could live/work this way for the rest of my life and be largely happy

Bringing all this manufacturing back to America sounds great surface level. But what I don’t think folks realize is the labor market was already tapped . Where am I’m going to folks to work?

We could get rid of a bunch of gov jobs and let them work real jobs?

The cats getting out of the bag on the Wuhan-bat-lab origin theory. Gaining more traction as the legitimate source. The world is going to be pissed off at the CCP.

I was cracking up when DJT said he had absolute authority. When the lady reporter told him he didn't have the authority, he quickly went to another reporter because he knows she is right. He probably said that after learning governors on both coasts had formed committees to plan "reopen" strategies. He wants all of the credit.

I wouldn't worry about martial law. No one would back him if he tried to declare it. If the president wants to declare martial law, I believe congress has to approve.

I do like that he has suspended funding for the WHO. Those idiots are almost as complicit in this pandemic as China is.

Sorry about the confusion. My point is everyone knows how hyperbolic and petty Trump is (I was speaking of the office of POTUS in general), so why is the MSM lowering themselves to the same standard? Just on an intellectual & credible level (not leadership), they are no better than Trump...thus the divide in the country continues. Who will rise above the fray in times of turmoil? Nobody.

I agree w/ the rest of what you say. Thanks,

Yeah, he’s so schizophrenic. One minute he’s reminding the public that we are a representative Republic w/ states’ rights and that the country wasn’t set up for the POTUS to micro manage every state. Then he jumps the fence to say he has absolute authority. He’s the boy who cried wolf.

To be fair, some of the governors in this country have seemed to embrace Fascism as soon as the “stay at home” notices were issued. I wouldn’t let some of these ego maniacs be the assistant manager of a pizza joint. Talk about absolute power corrupting absolutely. There’s no good guys in this pandemic.

What's your opinion on Paula Reid the other night when she called on Trump to explain what he did in February?

I know at times the Jim Acosta's of the world give MSM a bad name, but I think there is legitimate questions that he get's asked and he flips out.

It's been gaining traction for over a month (probably longer). Very early reports (no bats sold in markets, bats used in Covid testing, folks disappeared that provided info) made it very plausible IMO. Seems pretty strange that they'd open up the wet markets so fast if they indeed believed it to be the source. Just really hard to believe anything China says after what we've seen the last 4 months (not to mention just their norm prior to that).

Reid isn't the tantrum throwing idiot that Acosta is. She does however have a long history throughout the Kav hearings, Mueller probe, etc. of being a dem mouth piece. The only time I've ever seen her call out a dem was when Schiff told like his third or forth fib about having "proof" of the collusion delusion. And even then it was in a nice dem way lol. Anyway, CBS on the whole is as left, or perhaps even more left, than CNN. Reid is just more clever with her dislike.

I read a good Forbes article last night about the Wuhan testing lab. It's really interesting and certainly gives a lot of credibility to the ideas that once were thought of as "far right conspiracy theories". https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrap...n-focus-of-coronavirus-outbreak/#7291971e1ee1

I guess you can say the source of the question is biased, but the question was pretty blunt. "What did you do with the time you bought?" He can ad hominem his way out of responding to the argument, but it doesn't take away from actual substance of the question.

Im in the service industry and we have been dealing with this for years. Even when i do find employees, getting work out of them is impossible.

My understanding is that a lot of the jobs that have gone to China require a technical aptitude that just isn’t very plentiful here in the States. I don’t pretend to know the reasons why but I’d like to learn more.
