NY Governor just stated that N95 masks that normally cost 80 cents are now being sold for $4.00.
People wonder why Trump has enemies and I'm not sure how I feel about this situation. I will say the price gouging Is un-American and inhumane.
This shouldn't be able to happen and we the tax payers are going to fit the bill.

Btw. I have some hard nosed friends in NY. After listening to Andrew Cuomo speak I'm ready to elect him to the Presidency. I love this guy. He gets it, and we really need someone of his calibre to state the facts.

Yea he is a great candidate especially if you believe in income distribution via taxes, taxpayer funded abortion at any time in the pregnancy, Medicare for All, open borders, and suspects of crimes being released with no bond required. There is a reason that NY has consistently been one of the top states when it comes to citizens leaving the state.

With that said, I will give him credit with how he is handling the coronavirus situation. He is doing an excellent job and is exposing what a total incompetent NY City Mayor De Blasio is.

ARDS treatment usually involves steroids with antibiotics as part of a regime, but i'm reading they cannot use those to help combat the pulmonary inflammation with this virus. Those that do recover after ICU admission with COVID 19 are expected to take weeks.

Just found out someone I know well tested positive. I was with him 10 days ago. I'm officially not leaving the house even for food for another 10 days. I have enough for a month.

Lots of changes how the police and public interact. Services are being provided and one of my coworkers is a confirmed case. 14 troopers were exposed just a few days ago at a single incident. Our agency had 25 exposures (at least) through Thursday. Another close coworker is currently in quarantine and awaiting a test. We can’t get them. We have been transporting samples from all over the area to a lab in Buffalo for testing. Things are crazy right now and unfortunately we have no choice but to interact with everyone (even if confirmed). We dealt with an infected subject just last night who voluntarily overdosed (injecting heroin and beer...?) directly into his arm. Then he fought with law enforcement and EMS.

We are taking this seriously, even if I downplayed it initially. I’m certainly not blaming anyone (President Trump or Gov Cuomo) and think it’s being handled fairly well considering the circumstances. I know I’ll get killed by some here for not trashing our president, but I don’t just agree with whatever CNN, MSNBC or even Foxnews says about issues (particularly this one). The agenda of many is quite apparent even if people here or on cable news don’t admit it.

I’m not really in a position to share my complete opinion on our governor. I will say that he’s remarkably unpopular upstate and he will continually get re-elected due to his name and NYC (to a smaller extent Rochester, Buffalo, etc). In my job, I’m in a position to get a very unique perspective on his leadership. A few notes that people that don’t support him would mention are as follows: (I don’t necessarily support this side, just aware of the chief complaints)
-Safe Act
-MTA looming disaster (financially)
-Bail reform and other criminal justice reforms that the progressive democrats rammed through has all sorts of problems that should have been avoided
-Nearly all important legislative measures being pushed through in the state budget process that essentially holds lawmakers hostage
-Dramatic overreaction for every. single. snow. event.
-Out of control upward budget, to include Medicaid explosion. The NYS Medicaid bill is more than nearly every other state’s ENTIRE operating budget
-Corruption with the Buffalo Billion and other projects (well documented in news)
-Has been know to be a bully with opponents
-Regulations strangle small businesses leading to mass exit of population due to lack of opportunities and huge tax burden
-Old, crumbling infrastructure
-Has been quoted saying if you disagree with his stance on abortion that you aren’t welcome in NY

There are many other issues that people have with his leadership here. If he ran for County government in just about any upstate area, he’d get trounced easily.

Again, these aren’t necessarily MY opinions. I’m just sharing what those from outside the state don’t know

Edit: Buffalo Billion. WOW! It's amazing what people who don't live there really don't know.

The whole way we have to elect our officials Is corrupt, It's as if we should be drawing lines in the sand and predict they'd be there after high tide. Incomprehensible.
With all of our technology we should all be able to see the facts and vote from our phone/PC.
There's a reason the voting system seems fraudulent. It Really IS!

I do not think he’s connected or whatever. His father was governor before Pataki and left as a very unpopular governor as well.

I have no opinion of his policies, but I do believe he is leading in this situation pretty well. He has made DeBlasio (even more unpopular outside his progressive base) look like a complete tool. It’s well known that they really don’t get along.
