I keep waiting for/expecting the "I'm the first IEer to be confirmed..." post... of course assuming it's gonna hit that person(s) mildly and whatnot when it does...

It's only a matter of time. Heck, didn't Koon already volunteer to get it a few pages back?...

There's a difference between being an expert, amateur and "not even knowing what time the bell rings".

Don't have time for the details. But I know to buy low and I've put $12K into the Roth in the past 2 months.

You can laugh at me for not knowing a term, have at it. I'm too busy making money moves.

You've never even heard of "opening bell"?

edit: Also, if you knew what futures were, you could have known before the bell that this was about to happen.

I know we've had scuffles over the years, but if you are going to be moving money around, I genuinely don't want you to lose/miss out on opportunities - I don't root against people like that.

Do we actually know this? Using Legacy's post below, I wonder if kids are actually contagious if the bolded is true. I would consider infected kids as mild infections if they are having such drastic differences in infection rates and symptoms. Something to consider.

There is still so much unknown, and the panic that is setting over the country could be just as bad as some dramatic influx of patients on the health system. I wake up this morning to my mother asking me if i have cash reserves in case they close the banks to prevent bank runs. I mean come on. I'm not sure that bank runs, closing social systems creating hysteria is any better/worse than an overpopulated hospital. (obviously this is all ripe in worse case scenarios, just discussion)

I suppose it's possible, but I don't see any reason to think that they would have some immunity from passing the virus. Contracting it sure, but they should be able to carry it weather or not they're infected. It doesn't seem like children are even contracting a mild version because at 2% of the infected population even if the number is off by some magnitude it's still so low it still seems like a significant difference from the adult rates.

Are people actually “freaking out” where you live?Everyone is pretty chill where I live. People are stocking up on supplies more than normal but nothing insane. Anyone have different experiences where you live ?

Pretty much the same here. Except for the massive amounts of toilet paper some people are buying...

Tone is cautious but well enough... stores are completely knocked out of everything, everywhere. Whole aisles are just cleared.

It escalated very quickly where around DC. Monday, no one gave a shit. By yesterday, all schools were closing and it was a raid on goods.

HEB was ransacked yesterday and apparently there were hour long lines to check out this morning. My friend down in the Valley says people were lined up for hours before HEB opened

I.T. is setting me up with a laptop to work from home.

I'm surprised the private equity speedboat that is my employer is showing this kind of concern for us. We normally don't see this during normal times, but this is anything but. I've been impressed with their level of care and compassion for us with all of this.

One good thing to come from it.

Gotcha. Most people here think it’s some sort of conspiracy.

Not to be a downer.. I'm sure they just care about continuing work without a bunch of their employees getting sick and having to spend more money to retrain and fill positions.
I don't believe in the corporations caring about anything but their stockholders and the bottom dollar.

Good for you guys tho. Nice lil perk that they gotta shell out.

I'm waiting for my employer to send me the drone training material for an excavator/dozer, so I can run them from my house too.

There's no toilet paper anywhere in NKY right now, and it's getting hard to find full gallons of milk.

But nobody is out in public rioting or yelling or fighting over supplies. Everyone is pretty chill.
