Can you call for the ball? I haven't played RTG yet, but years ago you could call for the ball if you were usering a receiver in that mode.
I'm guessing this is an oversite by EA though, nobody bothered to test the positions to see how the QB logic behaves when you're a different skill player.

Here I thought it was just me. Fowler's energy is definitely lacking, especially in the playoff games.

Brad Nesler never had to rerecord lines...
I saw there were something like 115 hours of voice overs done, but I have no idea if that was for each lead announcer or all together, I'm assuming the later. I hate to say it, but Rece had great energy for his part. Some of his lines are corny, but otherwise he did a pretty good job. The problem is Rece doesn't usually call the big games, like the playoffs or Top 10 matchups, it usually gets switched to Fowler/Herbie and the energy level is extremely different. I get it though, it's probably hard to keep the energy up when you're on team #130 "Touchdown, Ball State!"

If you're playing as a 1 star program you probably won't get one for awhile. I just barely clinched the playoffs my first season as Ball State with a 12-1 record and it wasn't until then that I got a Fowler/Herbie game.

RTG QB, started as a 67 OVR at Kennesaw State.

Played two years there. Made the playoff in year two, lost to ND in the semifinal (yes, I tried to win. No, I didn't point-shave for my beloved Irish).

Grinding skill levels on AA difficulty is slooooow. Only got to 79 OVR by the end of sophomore season.

Hit the transfer portal, and the Power 5 options with QB's below 79 OVR were limited. Best situation was Baylor.

Just played my first game as Baylor's QB, lead them to an upset win over #6 Auburn in a road opener.

Baylor has a MUCH friendlier playbook for QB's. Had no idea how limited/run-oriented Kennesaw was until I realized my OC was calling runs on every first and second down, no matter the situation.

Beat scUM in the semifinals by a field goal as the clock hit zero. Grounded and pounded them with Love and Price over an 85-yard drive that took 7+ minutes to ice the clock and win it.

Crushed Bama in the natty.

Signed Caleb Downs, Sonny Styles and Elic Ayomanor in the transfer portal.

This game is okay (for now, until I throw three picks with CJ to open next season).

big credit to EA on this: deflections take realistic bounces on passes. No football game I've played has it look like a game. I had a great pick 6 with Loghan Thomas where the QB was hit, threw it off the back of a lineman, and it bounced right into his arms.

From what I've seen, this is actually a visual bug/glitch and the cap is still 99 like before.

I mean I’ll take 99. But if I got to break the game by signing both these kids that would be magic.

Also I will lead for kids significantly and I keep winning and stay on top of their recruitment and they up and commit to the second place or third place team after a single visit. What am I supposed to do there? Feels like a waste to put too much time on kids because of it.

I’m sure coaching branches have something to do with it. So far since I’ve been checking Miami in my dynasty has dominated recruiting every single year. I mean 30 kids committed by week 7. Is it the dream school perk? Is that OP at a big program? I don’t even think Miami has been making playoffs routinely. I mean I haven’t played them and have won like 6 now.

I got it on Friday and quickly learned its much more of SIM then any football game before and the fact that I haven't played Madden or anything else in ages. Went to YouTube and listened to some of these guys that make a living playing such games and more or less said you need to be making adjustments at the line all the time just lime in real life and I started shifting and/or double teaming and it made all the difference.

The recruits actually will react to you recruiting the more people at the position and if their key is playing time that will give you a disadvantage. The keys are the most important and visiting first is huge, also always hard sell.

Was on AA dropped it down to Varsity.

Start there and work your way up. No need to feel bad about it. There's a learning curve for sure.

Fastest way to get better is to watch videos and play the most difficult skill level you can handle mentally (reverse game selection). Definitely not the most fun way to get better, though.

i like playing RB but couldn't get any playing time with our irish so decided to help make a lower team better and transferred to the Wyoming cowboys and led them to national title game and named national RB of the year but lost title to A&M. going to try the coaching mode to see how that goes
