Not a big NFL guy, but just watching from afar, it seems that half the league fires their coaches every 2-3 years. I get the money is good but these guys can only be recycled so many times as HC before they have to settle for asst coaching gigs if they want to stay in the NFL which I”m sure most of them do.Rich Eisen mentioned it on his show.
